They got us into the top half. It became clear last summer that we weren't attractive to players after finishing bottom half 2 years in a row.

'Players will want europa' was first stage 'players will want CL' is phase where at now,and if we get into CL 'players will want to go to league winner' will be next stage.

People put that excuse out but the reality is we should be blowing clubs out the water for good players not overpaying for mediocre ones.

I wouldn't say excellent but what i would say that the early signs look good (keane,siggurrson,pickford linked)

Come on mate, we were never in an arses roar of Draxler, if that is your current expectation you will be dissapointed. You need a CL profile to recruit players like Draxler, thats an incremental process and should be our objective next year. Until we are there you can forget about the Draxler's of this world.

I think your being very harsh on Walsh here, i think he has been superb and i wouldnt have been a huge advocate of the director of football model. If i was to fault to anyone at the club on recruitment it would be those negotiating and closing deals.

Ive mentioned him the past 2 summers, however he was shaky the start of this season after a new contract.

Leverkusen are having a horrible season but they're usually a top 4 club, would love for us to punish them for having a bad season just as how spurs punished lyon for having a bad one with signing lloris.
