'Players will want europa' was first stage 'players will want CL' is phase where at now,and if we get into CL 'players will want to go to league winner' will be next stage.

People put that excuse out but the reality is we should be blowing clubs out the water for good players not overpaying for mediocre ones.
This isn't about money though. Why would the top players around want to move to a bottom half club?

Leverkusen are having a horrible season but they're usually a top 4 club, would love for us to punish them for having a bad season just as how spurs punished lyon for having a bad one with signing lloris.

Yeah their not having the best of seasons but Leno as been around a bit now and proving himself. Real Madrid wanted him after being shunned for De Gea the other year but couldn't get a deal done.

I'm not sure if it's this summer or the summer after, he has a release clause that kicks in for around £19-20m?! There was him and 2 others, one being Brandt and his release clause kicks in this summer for definite, £20m!

Solid player. I'd liken him to Schürrle in many ways...but he's relatively more consistent.

Doesn't have the sparks that those players do, but he plays at a good level almost all the time. I'd take a punt.

Draxler was always around the same level - but both were always seen as never kicking on, but I couldn't tell you if he has reached his potential at PSG or not as I don't watch French football.

Is it just me or does Goretzka remind you of schneiderlin?

Not buying that for a min with respect. As somehow Bill will be blamed if this summer if it goes to pot.

Billionaire blameless along with Walsh but elstone and Bill is problem will be the line.

And draxler was an example first come to mind but VVD could easily be this years witsel/koulibaily

I actually think that is actually the case, whether its Bill or Elstone or others im not sure. I dont think our problem s identifying players agreeing deals in principle, its the negotiation and closing these deals i think is the obstacle. I dont think that has anything to do with Walsh to be honest.

Ill qualify that by saying, i would be by far a Bill Basher and have a huge respect and admiration for what i think he has one for Everton.

Exactly. We tried and offered players like Witsel top dollar to sign and they weren't interested.

Atleast if we finish as high as we can and have Europe and keep on spending big and showing ambition that way, the better players might feel like we're a club going in the right direction now.

Sorry isn't this point of walsh to sign hidden gems top players but underrated? like a poor version of monchi/Michael Zorc.

Do you think we couldn't of used money better than bolasie and Williams for 30+M? Don't buy that sorry mate.

Our problem has 100% been pathetic negotiations by Bill so far, and I'll put Bolasie down to that too. Walsh was let down badly by Bill's nonsense and panicked into throwing crazy money at him. I want Bill one million miles away from the summer business the monumental clown.

Bill and Elstone are here to stay and safer than ever thanks to Moshiri so that will not be happening. Bill is blameless here and took club as far as he can, only problem bill has done is not sack managers failing long enough/ and not appointed a slightly better scouting team.

Pulis also said the same after we beat them both home and away, he reminds me of moyes in his 'kinfe to a gunfight' days obviously we will spend more due to player sales alone.

We honestly don't have man city levels of investment willing to plow into club, take away the Usamnov talk USM deal consolidated debt bla bla blah reality is most of funding if not all has been due to player sales and excess in TV money. Like it or not this summer is key

Pulis sides are so anti football and boring and honagainst everything that everyone wants to watch... he ruins nearly everyone's day out in the stadium whenever his teams play... he's more of a " bring a dildo to a picknick" kind of guy... he wants to ruin everyone's day .. hate him as a manager .. basically picks massive , quick units and tries to stop any attractive football being played for both teams ...
