They have had 12months to find somebody, if they cant find a striker in that time they need sacking, all of them.
I could find a striker in a week.
I'm sure, no, certain we've got a list of about 5-6 strikers that Koeman would happily have at us and lead the line and obviously they'll be in order of preference and go for in that order and see who is available.
What ever striker we go for, if we get one it won't be someone we've made do with, they'll of been on our list and watched and be someone Koeman will be happy to have and convinced can do the job.

I keep wondering if the RS would sell us Sakho as I think he'd do a good job for us at LCB and LB when needed. Him and Keane together would be pretty formidable in my opinion.
Im also sure Koeman isnt running around with his head on fire like some people in here, as you say, we will have a list, we will know whos available and who isnt, the advantage Koeman has over most people is he knows the plan.
Im confident things will become a little clearer in the next 11 days.![]()
Lukaku was signing a new contract until 5 months ago....
But okay![]()
Same mate. Like Koeman said, if we can't get proven quality, or a talented player with potential to be very good in time, then we won't buy for the sake of it. He'll have targets and will be asking about them and I'd hope we would get someone but if not, go with what we have and wait just that bit longer to get who we want.
I do think and feel that Koeman is waiting to see if something developes with Giroud. Things can change drastically in a matter of hours leading up to deadline day!....
Where the hell do you get these players from?. I've never heard of him.Caglar Soyuncu is going to be a quality CB.
You might be right about what Koeman wants... but I want headed goals and lots of them. It's not necessarily about headed goals that Koeman is looking for in a No.9. He wants a target man that will get goals but also get to grips with the ball and look after it and link play in the final third...

Do you spend all your time watching European football on sky and BT?. I have a hard time getting my Missus to let me watch the Everton away games.![]()
Was he tho?
Was he EVER.
But regardless, we have needed a Striker for well over 18months, even when Lukaku was here.
Guess we'll never know.
True but now we're looking for someone to fill his boots. Regardless this is definitely something we should've had lined up at the beginning of the window rather than the end. No team wants to sell their main source of goals at the end of the window so it's gonna be difficult for us.
Either Steve Walsh and the team will have to pull a gem out of the bag or we'll just have to overspend massively.

Das Bost says hi.If we've spent so much money on Sigurdsson then you would think we want a centre forward who is good in the air. The 2 forwards who scored most headed goals last season were Belotti or Mounie. Of those two Mounie was cheapest, young and available. If we weren't going to go for a proven player he'd of been worth a go. In the Premiership there's Benteke or Giroud. One doesn't want to leave and the other is injury prone. Personally if we had the money I'd of gone for Belotti, if we didn't have the money then Mounie.
