Summer Transfer Window 2017

Lukaku scoring regularly for Man Utd, while we still search around for a replacement. No way we should have let that happen.

Why, as it effected us so far this season?

We probably knew it would be tough to get the right man in to replace him and that it could take to the last hours of the window to sort out but in the meantime we brought in Rooney & Sandro to help with the burden.

We will of had numerous targets in mind to replace Lukaku in the team and will work through them in order of preference to see who we can bring in before the close of the window!

We'll sign someone boss, I'm drinking the Ste Walsh/Moshiri Koolaid.
Leaving it late, nearly breaking into a nervous sweat.

Should have been sorted months ago, seems like we spent ages waiting to see about Giroud.

Mate, we will of no doubt had numerous strikers listed that we would be keen on and in order of preference but if their not keen on leaving their clubs or available then what can we do? Obviously we would like Giroud but he may not be getable. Then there's Benteke and it's the same for him. Same goes for Dzeko. Now we go down the list and see which would be the best bet but we may be holding back on that in hope something might or could develop with Giroud?!

Great experience for them though and may well be massively beneficial for them in the long run.

Were not hitting top 4 anyway so should be giving players experience ready to make a big push next season when we can focus on one or two big signings to push us on.

That's a more level headed post. Really don't see the worry me IF we don't get a target man. Think we have more than enough about us to go and win games!

Looking at some info on strikers from other leagues we have been linked, however tenuously, with....

Jorgensen - lots of goals (25), lots of assists (17). Some concern though, in his 8 games against Fenerbahce, Man United, Ajax and PSV he managed just one assist and no goals.

Jimenez - looks very athletic, but has the lowest goal total (11 in 32). He did average a goal per 100 minutes though, which is not bad. In Champions league play he got 90 minutes in only one game and did score (against Napoli).

Willian Jose - seems to tick all of Koeman's boxes. 14 goals in 34 matches consistently scoring or assisting against top sides like Barca, Atletic and Villarreal.

So come on then folks. As interesting as everyone's opinion is, what is the word on the streets? Who are we really looking like getting up front?
None of us knows do we. That's all of y'alls faults for chasing off every decent ITK we ever had and leaving us with this laughable charade.

Giroud. Still! Once they lose to the rs he'll pop his sexy self over to FC Sexy and Champs League here we come.

Theyre all average at their best...

He's not Italian, and only been in Italy for a season I believe so I can't imagine he has any strong links to the country. Its does seem to only be Italian clubs linked though. Wages, and the "prestige of the premier league" are 2 potential lures we could use for a player his age and profile. Get Koeman to sell him on the project

And that's what I'm getting at, I'm not suggesting he's Italian or anything and that's the only place he wants to play but right now only Italian sides are in for him so it would suggest it's possibly his preference to stay over there....

I don't believe any world class striker will consider signing for Everton at the moment mate. Sadly.
To be honest.. even given the opportunity of a loan deal for Diego Costa I can understand the reluctance among the Everton :celebrate: fans.
But....The possibility of a proven Premier League top striker pushing us up the League Table is something I find appealing....Although probably not a permanent solution.

I think Giroud is probably dead in the water....He has shown NO inclination for a move away from Arsenal.
Have there been any recent Quotes from him showing discontent?

No, but if he's on the bench again next week vs the [Poor language removed] after that shambles yesterday then surely alarm bells of sorts would be ringing in his head about the lack of game time?! He's said before that he won't accept being on the bench all season and needs to play, especially with a World Cup coming up. And in pre season he said he would think about his future. And I know Wenger as said he gave him the option to leave and he said he'd stay but Wenger as said that Lacazette will mainly be the main man upfront for them so where does that leave Giroud, especially when everyone is fit and available?

I just don't think we've heard the end of it and I think Koeman is thinking the same hence why have we not properly moved on to other targets at this late stage of the window?!
