What the hell has Walsh been doing all summer?
The biggest signing we knew we needed, we're 5 competitive games into the season and who are we after as a replacement for Rom? Not a clue.

We should of got Bradley Walsh, at least he knows what a chase is.

That.....Is a very good question indeed! . However..I would tend to err on the side of ..."Finding quality strikers isn't easy!"
(To be honest I haven't a clue as to how easy or difficult it is !o_O)

He drifts wide a lot for me, hes not a true number 9, its in his nature to pull wide, it would take a VERY high degree of training to make him change his style, Rooney is the same, but he drops deeper as the game wears on, we need somebody who leads the line, in the middle, a focal point.
Yeah, he's not a 9 at all despite his number. Like him, but not a target guy.

Looking at some info on strikers from other leagues we have been linked, however tenuously, with....

Jorgensen - lots of goals (25), lots of assists (17). Some concern though, in his 8 games against Fenerbahce, Man United, Ajax and PSV he managed just one assist and no goals.

Jimenez - looks very athletic, but has the lowest goal total (11 in 32). He did average a goal per 100 minutes though, which is not bad. In Champions league play he got 90 minutes in only one game and did score (against Napoli).

Willian Jose - seems to tick all of Koeman's boxes. 14 goals in 34 matches consistently scoring or assisting against top sides like Barca, Atletic and Villarreal.

Theyre all average at their best...

We have players that score against lesser sides. It's the top sides that we need more against. Rooney, Klaassen, players like these. Out of those three I think Willian Jose is the best.

WIllian Jose I could live with, but I think Koeman stopped the deal. However, maybe we have a deal in principle with him and we are going to come back to him.
