Still think kicking the tires on Martial or Welbeck would be worth it. Neither are perfect target guys, but they can both push the backline and create space behind them.

I'm not for throwing money away, either, but in this case, if there's a cheaper alterantive that gives us something we don't have - true target player - even if they aren't world beaters, it would help. So still maintain Dost, Jose, Jorgensen would be of interested, unless we could hoodwink Mandzukic, which a couple of us have brought up, but there's been no real mention of interest of course. You'd be talking £50m+ for Martial. I don't think they'd sell as he's still scoring for them and they like options.

A lot of our good earlier work in the window, will be undone if we don't get a good striker in. It's getting late in the window now, I'm not sure we are going to land the calibre of striker we need, as other clubs will be reluctant to do business, as they have so little time themselves to replace.
