Article from before the window. It suggests Pickford, Gylf, Keane and Jose are our main targets. Obviously we have got 3 of those so maybe there is something.

Dom King's report on it way back in April was the same, said we wanted both Pickford & Sigurdsson (no mention of Keane though...) in the same piece were it said we were well keen on Willian Jose.

I checked his stats before posting. Not the worst, albeit in the Belgian top flight. Seemed to be exceptionally well thought off at one time when he was a young lad coming through.
We've done well so far in the market so I'm cautiously optimistic while expecting to be disappointed

£33m but thought we could get him for £28m according to the Daily Mail in April.

Standard is being quite unfriendly towards him. At first they would allow him to leave, but then they started to doubt etc.

Then this new trainer came in; and he hardly uses him etc. Essentially not the best of situations. Has hardly played so far.

Because we have several guys that can play that position. Sandro also is just as likely to play on the wing as an inside forward. He also did so at times for Malaga. We literally have no #9. With Siggys free kicks this is even more important.

Did he? He actually played wide once for Malaga, the rest he played as the main man through the middle as the No.9. Only at Barca did he play wide.

Forget that he's quick and small in stature, he's a CF not a wide forward, that's where he plays best. If you look up the likes of Balague or Graham Hunters write ups about Sandro prior to us signing him, they will tell you the same...
