Not really mate. Gives us a chance to scout for more time, and get a proper target man. It allows DCL to develop. It keeps us from over-spending on tosh. And he's Prem-proven, and will only do well here.

You can think of him as a temporary option while we look for long term ones.

I can't see it happening myself.......but it's win-win if it does. Even if he is a complete nob in the dressing room, they all know he's off in January. He will score goals. And maybe in January, Giroud would have reconsidered.

I think the giroud deal could still happen. I know he has said that he wants to stay and fight for his place but can't see him starting in front of laccazette after they spent 50 odd million on him. That mixed with the fact Wenger has admitted he needs to sell players before making any more signings because he has 33 players. So hopefully this still happens, as good as it would be to see costa sign 4 month loan deal is not good enough for us and where we want to be

It's a dead window, unless you line deals up months in advance for fringe players then very little business will be done in Jan by any team in the top 6 or so.
