Was saying the same, when Walker went off Koeman should have been a bit braver and took the game to City, Lookman with his pace, skill would have give City something to think about, instead we allowed them to start dictating the game as we got deeper and deeper.
I agree a more adventurous sub should have been introduced at this point, but I would have give for miralles over lookman.

We are already at a roughly 40 million net spend. We cant have everybody at every position, especially in one window. We have brought in a LOT of depth this offseason, but we will have to settle for less than perfect depth. Meanwhile, our one focus should be the striker. If we sell Barkley, which I expect, and McCarthy, which I think is likely, that leaves us with whatever we spend on a striker, and left sided CB as our net spend, and I can see roughly around 50 million.

Now that we are obviously not sell to buy that is, to the deep disappointment on many on here...

I don't think that's unfair, but there's a difference between being fiscally responsible and being smart with investment. Even if Moshiri was willing to pay £80m for a striker and pay him £200k a week, there's still a lot of other things the club can do with that money. The powers that be would have to be convinced that the player(s) to whom you refer are the smartest use of that cash.

Its a lot to ask, BUT, if we say got a Striker in, spunked a load, we would be "set" for a few years, squad wise, sure we have a few aging players who would need replacing, but we wouldnt have a real NEED for major squad investment.

It would be a MAJOR MAJOR gamble, I do admit.

The money for the striker and the CB/LB is already there
RK wouldn't have said he wants 2 more if he knew the money wasn't available.
Bill still thinking he's spending the money from the concession sales at the theatre i.e. his own money and not the clubs.
RK will blow a fuse shortly like he did with the Morgan saga and Moshiri will make Bill get it done.

The money is there, after sales, IMO, I aint moaning about that fact, I just think its the way it is.

People wanna spend wedge on a back up DM, its madness, the lad looks a talent, but he aint getting games ahead of Morgan or Gana, sorry, but he aint, sure its a long season and all that and if we had a Striker and a CB in and Yala, Coleman and Mori wasnt goosed and we had a back up for Baines, sure, spunk the wedge and get him in, but we aint there.

Well so far there are no sales in the offing
Nobody in for Macca
Nobody in for Lennon ( loan yes sale no )
Robles no
Your hero no
Barkley not yet and talk of derisory 20 m bid from Spurs that in all likelihood will be rejected
Naisse there are one or two sniffing but no bids yet.
So I think we will be stuck with a lot of Robertos dross and Barkley so Koeman saying he wants 2 more means buying is not dependant on selling as far as I can see

With respect mate, Koeman knows more than you, he knows more than me, he knows if theres clubs interested in the above players, but regardless, Ronny doesnt care, he wants a Striker and he wants a CB, he doesnt care where the money comes from.

Macca will go to Newcastle
Lennon will either go on a cut price perm or we will loan him last day of the window
Robles will go to Spain IF we reckon our young lad is ready to be third choice
Besic - probably will stay
Barkley will end up staying
Niasse will end up back in Turkey for a cut price or a loan

Indexing myself @orly

...according to Turkish outlet, Fotospor, Oumar Niasse has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce.
