We did indeed. Goal kicks are night and day from last year, too.

It is AMAZING that several here questioned whether or not he'd be an improvement over Robles. Seriously.

He has impressed me already in only two league games. I'm not expecting world class any time soon from him but as i said to roydo earlier , he puts a bit of faith in you compared to previous keepers who still had you worrying the ball would ricochet in because they have been wrong footed. If he was foreign then I think more people would see the positive in him, for 30 million he will prove to be a bargain. Saved us 3 points already in 2 games with some top saves

He wouldn't score 40 a season admittedly but I think the target man in koemans mind isn't going to. We have Rooney sandro lewen and klassen all to play off the target man. So one man holding the play off and we can have sandro and lewen alone who can use that to get in behind the defence and perhaps the pace comes into the attack. Perhaps we lack pace because we have no-one currently to serve that role

I don't know too much about Hoffenheim, but they do have some other forwards. Could they actually afford to lose him?

We lack tempo, not pace, once the players settle down, the tempo will come, cant say ive watched the lad myself, so cant comment on his ability.

I find the people constantly moaning about him to be far more annoying personally.

Here's the spectrum it operates on:

Negative net spend------------break even-------------------small net spends.

And I will be hugely surprised if that is significantly extended further rightwards in the next few seasons.

But Moshiri is only on the board 18 months

Good point. Just figured they probably don't feel compelled to sell him, but yeah, if they are booted out of Europe, why not recoup the fee, use it to improve quality not quantity? That's pure speculation, I have no idea of course.
