Summer Transfer Window 2017

If you listen very very carefully you can just about hear Moshiri cracking his knuckles as he prepares to sign 5 blank cheques and the sound of yellow liquid running down Bills leg in nervous anticipation

If Vardy can score 25 league goals for us this season we could have 50/60 CL money to spend next summer.
We have got to change our mentality.
Fergie signing RVP springs to mind
Fergie signing RVP was low risk because their chances of winning honours were so high, and the club generates a massive amount of money anyway.

We are in a much weaker situation competitively (i.e. less likely to win honours) and financially. The two situations aren't comparable.

I agree we need to invest in players that can deliver now, but we also want to build for the long-term. The stakes are too high to gamble on reaching champs league in the next 2 years. What if it bankrupted us?

Esp at the pit.
Vardy and Costa scoring in front of the loft extension
Costa AND Vardy up front.
Hardman centre halves all over the country crying to their mother's for sick notes. Millwall singing "nobody likes us, but at least we're not as bad as Evilton".
And suddenly that away kit makes sense.
Evil.webp

No disrespect to you personally or to other lads that say 40 m for a 30 yr old is too much for a club like Everton
It's that mentality that will stop us moving on to the next level
If Vardys goals get us CL in the next 2 seasons he will have proved to be worth every penny.
We can't keep buying potential , we have to buy for the here and now.
Hence the purchase of Rooney and Siggy.
We need to change the mentality of buy young and cheap and Seel older and high.
Can you imagine if we had managed to keep Stones and Lukaku and Barkley wanted to stay that along with our current squad would take us places.
It's a new era and we have to think like the big boys.
Age and price didn't stop Fergies buying Van Persie and he won them the league first year in.
Would you take Vardy for 40 m if it guaranteed you CL or the Europa or the FA. Cup.
Need to change our attitude to signings.
Hence I'd have Vardy but preferably Costa but only for a guaranteed full season
Brady wouldn't guarantee success though. There's got to be better options out there for £40m.
