Yeah. he's talking about an ITK on a Palace forum saying we're buying Benteke.

No reason why their ITKs should be any more reliable than ours though.

If you read what I put, you'll see that's not quite what I said. The guy is usually reliable in as much as most of his stuff (and there's not that much) turns out to have some substance. There's plenty ( like GoT and every other forum I've seen) that turns out to be made up baloney.
Take it for what it was, which, for the sake of clarity, I referred to as " a rumour".

They have firepower left right and centre already, shows how far we are.

We don't even have anyone who's quick enough to usher a counter attack.

All this emphasis on a striker, when we get one I think we will still struggle still without a creative wide player to start attacks quickly

I suppose I mean that Rom (and to an extent Ross) were out attacking focus last season. This season we look toothless and whilst I like DCL and Sandro and Wayne we need to get a striker in. So essentially points 2 and 3 are one and same.

Realise we aren't the finished article but we've known we need a striker since Rom left and yesterday abject showing highlighted that more than ever !

Agree with all that mate. All I will say is that we have brought in 4 new attack minded players and we need to give them time to gel. Plus we are still to bring in our main attacking focus, which I agree is disappointing, and I am now getting very concerned given what happened last summer. Plus, despite both Lukaku and Barkley being top players, we still looked toothless in our away games against the top 6 last season. So you could argue in that respect we are no worse off. It remains to be seen how effective they are against the lower opposition but I won't pre judge them based on the handful of games we've had so far.

I think the important thing this year is Koeman finding the right balance sooner rather than later. Sometimes these things happen by accident but lets hope it happens soon.

They won't get him.

But if they did they would be genuinely unstoppable on the break.

2. Agreed but at least we know we're in for a another striker. Going to be harder the closer we get to the deadline but we'll see where we are on Friday.

Man Utd announced Lukaku 7 weeks ago. 7 weeks! And the club obviously knew it was happening before that.

I agree with your point that the closer the to the deadline we get the harder it'll be to get in someone decent, but why have we left it so long?! Even "waiting for Giroud" is a poor excuse - he said weeks ago he was sticking with Arsenal.
