If Atletico dropped into the Europa we could be drawn against them in the knockout stage.

Stronger rumblings about Costa on loan till January to serve as a go stop gap between Chelsea and Atletico, and Walsh hasn't bothered looking for any other strikers cos he's been waiting for Alexis Sanchez to put in his transfer request*.

*last part somewhat less than true.

If that's where we are then I can tell by this low level of bedwetting that any potential Costa deal is not near done yet. We've got several levels to go before it reaches maturity.
