DCL played there because it was City and he was absolutely a target player in that match - but yes, we moved out wide. Constant Pickford long balls in the air to DCL. City has one decent CB in the air, that's Kompany, which is why he was moved outside. That's one club. He didn't play that way with Pelle and won't play that way unless the other team dictates it. Regardless, King isn't playing that way. He isn't going to win balls in the air over Otamendi, he's not good in the air, and is not what we need. Again, he's not a bad player, but he's not much different than what we have.

16 goals isn't anything to sneeze about, but Benteke got 15, Llorente got 15, and both are more stylistically what I think Ronnie is looking for.

Thank he would have done a job for us personally. Certainly gave city a game the other day. In rotation with DCL, I think he would have been an asset for us.

Can you think of any other realistic alternatives this late in the window? I can't. Very poor from the board, not to have identified targets earlier.
