Summer Transfer Window 2017

Is it at all possible, that given the breadth of coverage on Deadline Day, that fact that big signings on the last day seem to be remembered more than many of the earlier ones, that the player/agents or even clubs postpone a deal in order to get maximum exposure?
That's understandable this week but to think like that weeks ago and play 3 PL games a striker short just for sky is nothing short of criminal.

That's the concerning thing , not even rumours . We haven't even made Sky Sports transfer top of the pops .
Last time this happened, Valencia happened .
This is my concern, we just get another for the sake of it rather than any that we wanted.

Except in this scenario the team doesn't work without the right striker so bringing anyone in essentially translates as desperation despite supposedly having 75 million available. Supposedly being the key word.

It's not all doom and gloom though, we sell Ross for at least 30 and our net spend plummets back down closer to 0, niasse could tip it over as well

I think it is more down to a kind of game of poker between clubs with the agents to see who blinks - the selling club holding out for as much as possible and the buying club holding back hoping to pay as little as possible.

Often it is a stalemate and the window passes without a deal.

We've had seven weeks. Indeed, a whole summer to sort out our business.

Why does this keep happening? To see I'm getting a deja vu sense here would be an understatement.

Because the players the club wanted either haven't been made available, or don't want to leave their current clubs?
You're a reasoned thinker - do you settle for anyone or attempt to get the players that the club actually want to buy?

We're now at the 'ten to two' stage of a night out when you hunt around the club for someone half decent because the lass you've been making eyes at all night has decided to go off home with some flash tit instead.

I always tended to cut my losses at this point and just go home rather than grab a fumble by the bins with some ropey looking girl, all whilst hoping your mates don't see. Probably why I was single for so long :(
