Siggurdson statistically for the past few seasons has been just as productive as similar 'elite players in that position. If we were signing Silva, Mata, fabregas, couthino, eriksen etc for a similar amount for similar output would that be overpaying?

Klassen was the captain of a Europa league finalist team at 24, title winning captain as well. International footballer, goals and assists, and Johnny Evans will cost more than him. Is Johnny Evans better at football than klassen?

As said above siggurdson had similar stats as other elite players in this league, where 45 million would have been cheap if we had signed a Mata or Silva.

Pickford? 30 million for a player who could be first choice for 15 years?

Still a few more hours to go yet before I'm jumping on that particularly bandwagon like, but we'll see. Benefit of the doubt on Moshiri until the window slams shut for me.

IF and it's a massive blert shaped Dave Seed shaped IF, we actually did try for Werner - it'd be worse than just trying for a semi realistic target, it would clearly show we had absolutely no intention of going for an expensive/sought after player mate.

Because bidding for a 100% unavailable player is a very very safe bet to appear like you tried
