Maybe part of the reason we don't play with an outright number 10 though is we don't have anyone whose good there mate

Possibly mate but Koeman likes 4-3-3 with a tight 3 in midfield that as a mix about it. No doubt he wants a more creative and forward thinking CM in there but I can't see him buying a No.10 and moving him back. Even at Southampton he bought Tadic who is a class No.10 and moved him wide to accommodate his preferred 4-3-3.

Dendoncker looks a decent prospect but I'm not sure we need another defensive minded CM. Tielemans yeah cos he's a CM that wants to get forward and get a goal and we need more of a goal threat from the centre of the park, and creativity.

Not arsed about Abraham either, think he'll struggle in the prem. And if Lukaku does leave, I think we'll need 3 CF's. There's also a lack of wide options in that list, well, there isn't any. Think we need reinforcements on both flanks. Bolasie won't be back for a while, Lookman is a talent but at his age, and with getting used to the prem, will blow hot and cold and Mirallas is just too inconsistent. Barkley is being used wide right currently but he's not the answer.

Leno
Trippier Keane Gibson Baines
Gana Schneiderlin Davies
Barkley Lukaku Sigurdsson

Not bad, think I'd like to see more creativity and goal threat in CM than that one as. Good players mind but think maybe a Sigurdsson or Tielemans would be better in there. Also I'd like to see some proper wide players or wide forwards in that front three. Sigurdsson as done a good job wide left in a front three at Swnasea but it's not his position, and Barkley for me isn't the answer out on the right either. Maybe IF we did sign Sigurdsson he could do a job out there till Bolasie is back and we could look at signing Ghezzal or Boudebouz for down the right?

Not a bad list, but it would leave us very short of goals, in my opinion.

Selling Lukaku and relying on a past it Rooney and a young forward with one good Championship season. Plus Chelsea will want to insert buy back clause for him.

Also, I'm not convinced of Sigurdsson in a team wanting to compete. Big fish in small pond player in my opinion.

I hope we use the Lukaku money to buy a quality striker. Atletico Madrid always do this. When they sell their elite strikers, they ALWAYS replace them with same quality. This has been a big part of their rise.

Would be very happy with that team and it's not enormous outlay.

I don't know, going by values in the press and social media it could be. Leno I think as a £19m release clause that kicks in this summer, Trippier as been valued at around £5-6m but I think he'd be available at around about £7-8m or even more as Spurs and Levy don't sell cheap. Keane £25m, Gibson as high as £30m apparently but could be closer to Keane's value and Sigurdsson could be anything between £25-35m?! But I think it'll be between £25-30m. So add it all up and for those it could be costly, roughly around £100m or more?!

This is my list and doable and all these players are in their early to mid 20's and would elevate the side.

Timo Werner.
Isco.
Julian Brandt.
Naby Keita.

The 3 german based players have been linked with the RS and identified by Klopp...We should go all out and get all 3 show who the new power on Merseyside is with a statement of intent like that.

All those would be great. Can't see Isco being realistic though. And the 2 Leipzig players will be hard to get for anyone now their in CL, they may stick it out with them for one more year like the Leicester players did with them. Brandt will no doubt leave as Leverkusen have been poor this season by their standards but Bayern have been heavily linked to him...

This left back situation is very interesting. If we are really after Kolasinac, than obviously Koeman thinks Baines is done. Kolasinac is a fighter type and would never come here to play second fiddle. Otherwise we should be going for a prospect like Chilwell.

Koeman is a big fan of Baines but he will know he won't have long to go. Kolasinac could come in and play a part here and there and get him used to the English game ready to take over from Baines permanently the season after cos surely next season is Baines last as our No.1 LB.

Rooney and an unproven youngster to replace Lukaku? I approve of the rest of your ins but if we don't get the Rom replacement right we will quickly find ourselves in the bottom half again. Happy to take a punt on Abraham but would like him to be accompanied by the Celtic Dembele or iheanacho. Rooney can't be relied on to deliver or even to play regularly at this stage of his career

Koeman says no wholesale signings and instead of having 23/24 in the squad would rather less with using the kids more.

Says to me either a. We haven't got much to spend and will keep some of the players we assume will be out the door (Mccarthy, Lennon etc.) Or b. We have money to spend and intending to bring in 4-5 £15-30 million signings.

Hopefully it's the latter.

Think it'll be the latter and he will spend big on quality for the positions we need in the starting 11. I don't think he'll go mad and sign around 10 players to fill out the squad. He'll build a strong 18 and then like he says, fill out the rest of the squad with our good youngsters we have.
