The shower across the park sold suarez..possibly one the greatest single players a premier side have had....bought in some good players to try to plug the toothy gap and they are doing alright. It is possible to achieve great things with a solid team rather than relying on one worldy.

1984-85 should be our prototype in my opinion ,all our forwards chipped in whilst not being highly prolific, they all their own added dimensions to the "team", Sharpie learnt so much from Gray, he could hold the ball up and bring others into the game, Gray was a rumbustious raging bull who knew how to preserve himself with his dodgy knees, Inchy was a buzzing pest to the opposition as bright as a button, then you had Sheeds and Tricky Trev, creating and chipping in 10/15 goals each, Degsy Mountfield ghosting in as a third striker must have got 10/12 goals himself from Centre Back, even Shaggy Stevens chipped in with a few from right back, remember the next season whilst we remained a very good side, we won nothing with a serial goalscorer in Lineker, and of course when he left and Inchy came back, assisted by Wayne Clarke laterally in 1987,we won it again,a few tweaks here and there and it doesn't necessarily mean we fall to bits "if" Lukaku departs.

Abraham would flop in the prem imo scoring in the lower divisions means nothing Dwight Gayle is prolific in the championship. The only realistic player I would take as part of the Rom deal is Batshuyai.

Batshuyai + £65 million and I would take that.

You keep saying we should sign Dembele from Celtic, just last season he was playing in the Championship for Fulham.

Now you are saying Abraham will flop? Who has scored more goals this season ( could end up close to double ) in the championship for a poor team than Dembele managed for Fulham.

You have not thought this through. I'd class the Scottish Premiership lower than the championship.

Abraham is for sure worth a try, but Abraham and Rooney to replace Lukaku...so so silly, thankfully Koeman isn't so silly.

Plus Chelsea will probably try to insert buy back clause in any deal for him.

Dembele has looked good in both the CL and at international level. Completely different.

You will have that Nicola Sturgeon geezer taking some sort of Scottish version of a Fatwa (Deep Fried Fatwa?) out on you for that!!

I watched Dundee V Hearts on Good friday, it was akin to watching two drunken tramps trying to have a fight.

The level of football is dire. Niasse would be banging them in for Celtic.
