There would definitely be room for both Barkley and Sigurdsson to start if he stays.

Yeah but would we really play with 2 naturally central attacking mids out wide next season? Think we could put up with one but to have 2 would leave us unbalanced in attack imo. Cos I honestly think that IF we get Sigurdsson he will be mainly used out wide on the left perhaps with Klaassen being signed for CM. Barkley more often than not will be used as a wide forward by Koeman like he currently is.

Sigi is 28 and expensive. I think he's good - better than Barkley certainly - but the money would be better spent on
a top, younger player. I like Sandro because he brings talent, goals and a tough attitude. But I am happy to rely on RK - despite
the Sissoko Near Miss Disaster - to select and own his team.

Why would you not want a good proven premier league player in his pomp? Koeman want quality this summer but also wants players in their prime with a bit of experience.

£350k?!??????

It's things like this that make me wonder if all people have brains.

I don't actually think he's a bad player and Walsh and Koeman seem very keen but throwing £80K plus a week at him seems steep but I suppose that's what you have to do to get the players you want that you think will help take you to the next level...

Oh hello, I was wondering where you'd been nesting.

So Goat....alongside Besic who would you like as the attacking midfielder...

You like Klaassen or the Icelander?

The boy Klaassen is a must buy IMO, I do like the boy Sigi and all depends if Barks stays, but would prefer Davy plus a different type of number 10, like for example a Mane/Valencia, the little whippet type, now clearly more Mane than Valencia, but you know the type I mean, the false number 10.

When the season finishes the GTC will be sitting down and presenting our dossier for Mr Walsh to have a look at.

Sky News did a stats comparison and apart from goals (9 for Sig) Barkley was way ahead on all the other stats

Saw that, and even though Barkley had had more passes, shots etc, he'd produced less than a player in a struggling side! So in the less he did, Sigurdsson actually produced more....

Koeman as said it doesn't matter if Barkley stays or goes, he's looking to bring in players in his positions (CM/ACM/Out wide) so I bet we'll try and bring in both Sigurdsson and Klaassen! Klaassen can play the number ten role but he is more box to box but gets forward and into the box and wants to score and I think Koeman wants a bit of that in CM. As for Sigurdsson I think he could use him wide left in a front three likes Swansea have been doing to good effect.

Remember, Koeman is a 4-3-3 man and doesn't play with an out and out No.10 in behind the striker, it's why Tadic grew frustrated in the end under Koeman has he wanted to play in the hole but Koeman played him wide in a front 3, which he's doing with Barkley and I reckon he would do with Sigurdsson more often than not.

Ive said for ages that Koeman doesnt play a true number 10, I think I said Ross would have to adapt his game and play further back as a number 8 in a midfield diamond, but it seems like Koeman doesnt think he can.

Koeman prefers the balls out wide to the wingers and balls into the box, Barkley or Lukaku dont fit that style, I honestly think Ronny will be happy to see both go.
