Summer Transfer Window 2017

I forgot about McCarthy and I don't expect us to sell Mori. I'm guessing we'd expect to get around £30m from successfully selling Del, Clev and Oumar.
Perhaps Mosh would kick in £30-40m, plus some tv money perhaps, and then a McCarthy sale on top of that.
If sales go well that's not a bad pot without selling Barks/Lu but it relies upon Mosh providing cash which remains to be seen.

30-40m would be low end and the bare minimum in reality mate, when the owner goes on radio saying we bid 50m for a player then he is setting the bar of expectation high for himself.

In the current climate of prices - it's the equivalent of buying one rated quality player and then saying we are sell to buy.

Without selling the likes of Lukaku or Barkley then the club needs a serious investment from Moshiri this summer, followed by allowing Koeman to get rid and replace squad players with the proceeds.

Anyone watching SSN at the moment
The gap beteeen 7th and 8 th is 16 points the highest it's ever been
If we want to catch up with the Sky 6 and not always be the best of the rest we need to spend big
That's why Moshiri said we have a small window to do so.
That's why he took the 80 m on board and arranged the Finch Farm and Shirt sponsors.
Along with the Sky money the money is there to spend big.
It may seem crazy but if Barkley (30m) goes and Koeman can get rid of the deadwood left in the squad than 200 m gross spend is not unrealistic.
I firmly believe Moshiri has to make a statement to convince fans and investors alike
No point in having an iconic stadium without European football

Frandels I have just for my sins watched a HD video which was not a nudey vid but was in fact a highlights reel of Davy Klaassen

I have come to the conclusion that if Ajax had a player called Roos Baarkley he would score 40 goals a season there in the famous number 10 mole in hole role and get at least twenty assists

Davy is, on first viewing, badly Naismith. Is this right?

@MorgsGoat

He is utter Naismith, but only the good things, hes hard working and he looks like a ghost, he gets up and down and has less niggle than Naismith, but hes still a pest, talent wise hes far superior tho.

That's £6m more than Real Madrid, and any other club, ever.

I fully agree and that was all true during the January window but we still saw the manager throwing a public tantrum to push us to bid higher to secure Morgan and a glut of outgoings that brought down wages and would have recouped every £ spent if the relevant clubs were willing to buy, as we wanted, instead of just taking our players on loan.
We'll see what happens. There's a lot still to prove regarding the 'new' Everton. It's going to be interesting that's for sure.

Yup thats what i said mate, on that list you gave - United where second under LVG with a 146m spend, so city/united this sumemr would have been 2nd 3rd on the list

Kind of shows the explosion in fees really.

Expect that list to be obliterated this summer by a few teams

Yes but Count Blue von Frankelstein that is still to the order of twenty six millions less that £200m gross.

Everton will not spend this kind of cash.

As a club we are in a weird position atm in terms of attracting players.

We can pay more wages than anyone below us - can also probably outbid any of them as well, we have european football that none of those clubs do, all this should mean we should not lose out on any player we truly want that has competition for them from below us int he league.

In terms of those teams above us, we won't get anyone that they go balls out for, the only way we can do it, is by either paying more than they are willing to do, paying more in wages than they are (unlikely for anyone they really set out as a primary target) or hoping they don't want them that much...

So the one advantage we bizarrely have over these - we need to utilise to the maximum and thats the weakness of our first 11 and squad in comparison to those teams, it means any player who has doubts about game time - could possibly be convinced to come to us rather than risk becoming a fringe player or a serial loanee.

Tielemans for example looks to be off to Monaco as he was unsure if he was ready for this league yet and for the 'big teams', Dolberg has made a similar comment about not being ready for those elite level clubs, those are the types we need to target, added too with a few players like Schneiderlin who've made the move and it not worked out for them

Agreed and to a certain extent that's what we have done with Lukaku coming to us as he wasn't getting games and more recently Morgan's Schneiderlin.

The only thing is eventually (In Lukakus case) they will be ready for elite teams and want to leave.....Is it right we pitch that idea to these players but then hound them when they want to leave or are we happy doing that for now?

200m is pipe dream land

Only way we come even remotely close to it, is if Lukaku goes for 80+ and Barkley 30+ and even then we will still be a way short

Can I speak truthfully here Admiral Morg Goat Frandel?

I did not know anything about this Klassen and his YouTube video was a lot of penalties

But thanks to you, I am seeing possibilities of a new workhorse / grafter / scapegoat joining and I am happy

Thoughts on going in for Kierran Gibbs if that Kolasanic signs with Arsenal? Good experienced left back to rotate with baines and would seemingly have no place at arsenal.
