Summer Transfer Window 2017

The £75m figure mentioned seems such an underwhelming amount these days.

That's a minimum net spend I'd say
Moshiri said we had a very small window to get top 4 when he took over
I'd say he meant with new managers at United ,City ,Chelsea
Spurs never quite making it and moving. Stadium , Arsenal in transition and the other lot being average we had a chance to make a move
We blew it last summer and Moshiri said if it happened again heads would roll
I am looking at 90/100 m net spend
When you consider
Pickford 25m
Keane or that ilk 25 m
Koubailly VVD or that ilk 50 m
That's 100 m without attacking options.
This summer will in my opinion see spending never dreamed of at Everton

We should do, we will have one striker at the club come July - if Lukaku actually stays Kidman likes to play one wide as well so that's sandro I guess.

The big thing we need to do with money is pre-plan. We could never do this with Kenwright and we're always reactive. It also led to us struggling for momentum.

As you've said moving for Dolberg this summer would be a fantastic move. We get a season for him to acclimatise and if Lukaku leaves next summer he should be ready to step over.

If Lukaku goes I'd then add Martial and one of Iehanacho or Dembele, or if he goes to Chelsea insist it Batshuyai and Abrahams.

I suspect it's not far from the truth given what's transpired in the previous 2 windows. That's to say even if we don't sell Lu and Barks we'll have up around £75m depending upon sales of the likes of Del, Niasse and Clev added to Mosh's £.
If that's true there'll be some frustation as we'll have to spend wisely so will open with low bids for Pick, Gylfi etc. We'll need SW to perform. Sandro would be a great start.
If Barks/Lu money comes in incomings will accelerate as after Stones last year.
I predict we'll have a net spend of less than £45m if Lu stays and it'll be very modest if he goes.
Oh and I predict we'll sign Enner Valencia on a permanent in early July.

it's why Koeman stating we where already targeting players with or without Barkley deciding and his decision wouldn't change recruitment for that position = good.

Lukaku stays - Dolberg arrives, he plays 30-40+ games, spells Rom, replaces him when he needs resting, has injuries or theirs a big European/league game upcoming, plays all Europa games, plays all cup games, and gives a REALLY strong option if we decide to go two up front. <aybe his overall game improves as he plays some games as an inside forward for us etc also.

Player gets accustomed to the league without the pressure of carrying a team or expectation to instantly deliver such as would be at United/City etc, knowing that in a season he will become the main man up front for us - at a team he's already settled into.

That would be what we should do, 'old' Everton would do 1 of two things though, sell Lukaku last day of the window, rush to find anyone to replace him and pay stupidly for some journeyman, or sell him next season and have to rebuild the entire attacking team which has been catered around solely him.

75m to spend boosted by sales = brilliant news

75m to spend including sales of fringe players = very poor news, as we will raise almost that from projected sales (Cleverley, Niasse, Mori, McCarthy, Deuloefu = 75m)

75m spend and the sale of either Lukaku or Barkley would be a disaster and the new owner would be shown up as a total fraud.

I reckon the likes of Stoke , West Ham , West Brom will net spend in the region of 40 m with the new Sky deal
If we are to compete we need to make a statement
Cleverly 8 m
Del Boy 12
MvCarthy 20 m
Funes Mori 20 m (if as I expect we sign 2CB
McGeady Naisse and a couple of young players 10/15 m
That's 75 m without spending a penny
It seems we are looking to sign players early so we are being proactive with a fairly healthy kitty

Agree entirely. Players will leave. We won't change our spot in the pecking order overnight. However poor planning is what does us in.

I'd like to see us bring in Dolberg and 1 other to be honest, to take the places of Kone and Valencia. Maybe this lad Sandro can do that but he seems more of a wide forward.

And yes I hope Barkley stays but we should look to bring someone in too. If Ross wants to be a top player he will relish the competiton.

As a club we are in a weird position atm in terms of attracting players.

We can pay more wages than anyone below us - can also probably outbid any of them as well, we have european football that none of those clubs do, all this should mean we should not lose out on any player we truly want that has competition for them from below us int he league.

In terms of those teams above us, we won't get anyone that they go balls out for, the only way we can do it, is by either paying more than they are willing to do, paying more in wages than they are (unlikely for anyone they really set out as a primary target) or hoping they don't want them that much...

So the one advantage we bizarrely have over these - we need to utilise to the maximum and thats the weakness of our first 11 and squad in comparison to those teams, it means any player who has doubts about game time - could possibly be convinced to come to us rather than risk becoming a fringe player or a serial loanee.

Tielemans for example looks to be off to Monaco as he was unsure if he was ready for this league yet and for the 'big teams', Dolberg has made a similar comment about not being ready for those elite level clubs, those are the types we need to target, added too with a few players like Schneiderlin who've made the move and it not worked out for them

I forgot about McCarthy and I don't expect us to sell Mori. I'm guessing we'd expect to get around £30m from successfully selling Del, Clev and Oumar.
Perhaps Mosh would kick in £30-40m, plus some tv money perhaps, and then a McCarthy sale on top of that.
If sales go well that's not a bad pot without selling Barks/Lu but it relies upon Mosh providing cash which remains to be seen.
