If any team's willing to pay £20m for a player who's almost as injury prone as Gibbo we should bite thier hand off.
Macca brings the energy and tackling that RK respects but what good is that if he's rarely available? Plus there's the recurring drama revolving around his international career. Hope the geordies or someone are willing to take a chance.

Why's everyone obsessed with pace? Don't have to be quick to take a free-kick.

Because we dont have any in the team. So when it comes to playing high energy teams like Liverpool and Spurs we get completely mauled. Lucas and Can literally walked all over us just because our midfield was slow as anything. As soon as McCarthy went off in the Goodison derby and Barry came on we could barely get a foothold in the game. Davies and Gueye got bullied by Lucas and Can FFS in the Anfield derby. We need pace power and creativity in every position if we are going to start winning against these types of teams, let alone Chelsea who completely bullied us home and away. Its almost back to the midget gem days where Osman Pienaar and Arteta would look lovely waltzing around at home past some hapless side like Sunderland then would get absolutely bullied by a top 4 team away from home. We need players in the profile of Schneiderlin Bolasie etc. who can stand up to the physical side of the game and keep us in these matches so that we can then play football rather than losing them on pure physicality.

Can't see the Lu situation being resolved early. We'll demand mega pay like Stones last summer. It'll drag on for weeks and Chelsea may lose interest.
Considering that uncertainty Sandro for £5m would be a fantastic way to cover both outcomes but if he happens it's almost certain Dolberg won't. However if/when the Lu money comes in in Aug we'll over spend on someone no doubt.
