From Matt Law.

"Everton are exploring whether or not to sign central defender Mauricio Lemos as part of a summer spend that could top £75million.
Lemos caught the attention of Barcelona last summer and has impressed Everton scouts with his performances for Las Palmas this campaign.
A Uruguay international at Under-20 and Under-23 level, it is not certain that Lemos would be granted a work permit to move to the Premier League.

Everton are believed to be looking into the situation to ascertain whether it is worth pursuing their interest in 21-year-old Lemos with a bid.
New rules on how work permits are handed out to footballers were introduced in 2015. Under the appeals process for those who do not meet the criteria through full international appearances, players must score four or more points from a list of guidelines to stand a chance of gaining exemption.
Depending on how much Everton are willing to spend on the former Rubin Kazan defender, who is valued at around £18m, and pay him in wages, the fact Lemos has made 26 appearances for La Liga club Las Palmas this season would count in his favour.

Other than Lemos, Everton have not given up in the chase for Burnley’s £25m-rated centre-back Michael Keane, despite the fact he is also on the radar of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Everton are likely to make a bid over £20m for Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, whether or not Ross Barkley decides to sign a new contract, and Keane’s Burnley team-mate Andre Gray is another target.
Gray’s contract only has one year left to run and Burnley are aware they will most likely have to cash in on the talented striker this summer.
Tottenham have also shown an interest in Gray, who has scored nine Premier League goals to help Burnley secure their safety.

Everton are also in the market for a new goalkeeper and a left-back in what manager Ronald Koeman hopes will be a busy summer of business."

The £75m figure mentioned seems such an underwhelming amount these days.
