Sean Davis one was good. We dithered, mulled and considered right up until he got a bad injury in pre season for Fulham.

Agreed on all points, would have been more than a nominal challenge for top 6 if he hadn't gotten injured.

I think when you consider how he has tried to use young DCL you can see how Bolasie would have been used. DCL has many positives and I won't write him off, but he's a long way from Bolasie.

I think you are spot on. The stick Bolasie gets on here is surprising and even extends into people misquoting his fee.

He was one of our most consistent players at a time when we were playing very poorly. Palace at home for example I thought he was out best player by some distance. He had 5 assists and a goal for the first 3rd of the season. You look at what Mane has offered Liverpool and I think this lad could have had a similar impact with us.

I do think, as we improved Bolasie would have kicked on massively as well. In a lot of games this season we have been crying out for a consistent wide man with pace. Manchester United away is one example, but in truth most of our away games where we have been toothless.

I have serious doubts he will come back the player we bought which will be a great shame. However the idea he was a flop before his injury doesn't stand up to scrutiny in my view.

Spot on mate. I believe he is a very good player who was settling in to his role and I don't think anyone can deny it. The problem fans are having with Bolasie is his fee (not me). If we got Bolasie for say 10m then everyone would be saying what a good player he has been for us and judge him by the cost of him to his performances. At the price we paid many are looking at him to win matches on his own etc. We are not use to buying for big money so when we do the pressure and expectation from the fans becomes skewed and becomes a monkey on the players back. I am sure if we payed 20m odd for Gana then he wouldn't be adored as much. Fees skew expectations and that is what has happened to Bolasie

Pleased with the link to Baba Rahman - we have really lacked good competition for both our full backs in recent years. With Kolasanic and Baba Rahman now linked - i am pleased Koeman sees the weakness in reserve/good competition for Baines and Coleman when they dont perform.

He'd have certainly helped. His link up with Rom was excellent. Just a shame we probably won't get to see more of it!

Frandels I have just for my sins watched a HD video which was not a nudey vid but was in fact a highlights reel of Davy Klaassen

I have come to the conclusion that if Ajax had a player called Roos Baarkley he would score 40 goals a season there in the famous number 10 mole in hole role and get at least twenty assists

Davy is, on first viewing, badly Naismith. Is this right?
