Summer Transfer Window 2017

throw a gazillion quid at him and see if it sticks.

Very interesting.

my take on the situation, and the recent mess with his agent.

Reckon his agent has been knocking back enquiries and trying to get him to sign a new contract with Ajax, hence the players dad effectively saying they where splitting with the agent (didn't Koeman split with his agent for similar?), since that announcement his agent gave a big interview where he was effectively trying to attract interest in Dolberg even citing how much interest they had in the player etc.

Dolberg apparently wanted to sign on with a big Dutch agency - same one that has engineered most of the recent Dutch players big moves abroad - Strootman, Depay and numerous others.

Dolberg coming out and directly refuting that he had said he was gonna stay is a massive sign he's open to offers, otherwise why correct the statement unless your concerned it may stop a move this summer - serves no purpose otherwise.

We need one on the right. Someone to scare the bejeezus out of a defence.

I know he's Danish but with him playing on the Dutch league I'd think Koeman must have a massive influence on players not only for his playing career but his managerial career over there wasn't too shabby.

I ain't seen enough of Dolberg to pass comment that mate, just read what you and others have said on here and watch a few videos. If he's a top rated young prospect though then I want Everton to be interested because once they become top players we currently ain't got a chance of attracting them.

I'd be more than happy with the likes of Gylfi, Sanchez, Klaasen and Dolberg in judging by what a l9t of folk have said on here who watch more European footy than me. The above seem to have a mix of everything we currently lack.

Yeah. You gotta feel for Koeman. Chucks a bunch of money at a very specific type of player to add a specific dimension to the team so we can play a specific way. Player promptly gets injured for a year and he has to totally change his plans.

I think you are spot on. The stick Bolasie gets on here is surprising and even extends into people misquoting his fee.

He was one of our most consistent players at a time when we were playing very poorly. Palace at home for example I thought he was out best player by some distance. He had 5 assists and a goal for the first 3rd of the season. You look at what Mane has offered Liverpool and I think this lad could have had a similar impact with us.

I do think, as we improved Bolasie would have kicked on massively as well. In a lot of games this season we have been crying out for a consistent wide man with pace. Manchester United away is one example, but in truth most of our away games where we have been toothless.

I have serious doubts he will come back the player we bought which will be a great shame. However the idea he was a flop before his injury doesn't stand up to scrutiny in my view.

Agreed on all points, would have been more than a nominal challenge for top 6 if he hadn't gotten injured.

To keep Everton in the race with the SKY6 nancies, will take more than a window.
Those doors that open to let Thunderbird 2 out?...that's more-like what we're going to need.
