Summer Transfer Window 2017

If Rom (our sole striker) left and was replaced with Batshuayi and Iheanacho would we be content? I think that is about the level of replacement we would see. Worth noting that if we got 100M for him that after buying those two we might have 50M left to spend.

I don't advocate this, just asking for peoples thoughts.

I would certainly be happy but with Valencia and Kone going that still leaves us a tad thin although we have DCL. Them two DCL and a Valencia type player (one who's happy on the bench) would do me.

If we do sign someone like Kelechi or Michy I'd like to think we would get them on 5 year deals too.

I'd have gilfy in all day long. He'd probably become one of our best players (depending who we sign) so play him wherever he wants.

Has spurs interest in him slipped away? I fear if they want him they'll get him. Could be story of our transfer window... Let's hope not.

Dont get me wrong, I'll be happy if he signs but not just not as enthusiastic as I once was. Still improves the current squad though.
Would he go back to Spurs? Can't see it myself but you never know.

After many hours of footage studied and countless players watched, the transfer committee have declared Jordan Pickford as our choice for the GK role.

Im lying of course, like im wasting time watching GK vids.

We will now begin the search for a Left Fullback.
Priorities Goat-san. I understand the committee has a structure and method that must be adhered to but by the time you get around to scouting magic it'll all be gone and we'll end up paying 50mill for Sigi and 150k p/w.

The relevant questions are whether he's efficient at scoring headed goals and whether he's getting better. He can clearly score headed goals, but there aren't that many scored each year in PL play. And it's silly to suggest that Lukaku is wasteful with headed chances.

2013/14: leader, Bony (5); Lukaku, 3 (of 15)
2014/15: leader, four with 5; Lukaku, 1 (of 10)
2015/16: leader, Giroud (7); Lukaku 4 (of 18)
2016/17: leader, Llorente (8); Lukaku 6 (of 25)

Seems entirely likely that the change in style of play from Martinez to Koeman could be a factor in Lukaku's increase in headed goals.

He would probably score more if we actually put crosses in, instead of a million one two's in corners, and cutbacks.

Meanwhile I understand Kane scored 2 headers this season. Everton wouldn't want him now would they?

A fine point, lets just pick Ryan Sessegnon and move on.

Cant even be bothered looking at CBs either, lets skip straight to the magic.

One thing about Sigurdsson as well, if Koeman gets a better keeper, two top class CBs, and feels good about Schneiderlin in front of them, he may feel more confident about pushing the 2nd and 3rd CMs much further up, meaning you could leave Ghana out of the lineup, and have Sigurdsson and a star attacking mid further up behind Lukaku. Especially when you play teams you think will play more defensively. Primarily we play the 2 defensive mids at this point, but I believe part of that is cover for an older backline with some holes.

Reading on sky app that Swansea don't need to sell nor does Sigurdsson want to move. All speculative however, if the player doesn't want the move to a bigger club then Everton need to move on quickly and assess other targets. The club should be aiming for players who want the move and want to win trophies at Everton.
