If Rom (our sole striker) left and was replaced with Batshuayi and Iheanacho would we be content? I think that is about the level of replacement we would see. Worth noting that if we got 100M for him that after buying those two we might have 50M left to spend.
I don't advocate this, just asking for peoples thoughts.
Aha! We did it so well that Spurs took the bait and actually bought Sissoko. Koeman/Walsh are genius!I presumed that's what was happening with that Kone from Sunderland, well I say presumed i mean hoped .
he'll be playing in the Scottish championship within 2 years.Interesting that Iheanacho's agent namechecked us. Would love, love LOVE to get him. Cracking player that pretty much has it all and is only falling down the pecking order at City because they just signed the next superstar in Jesus. Scores goals, links up play, is a big lad.
The relevant questions are whether he's efficient at scoring headed goals and whether he's getting better. He can clearly score headed goals, but there aren't that many scored each year in PL play. And it's silly to suggest that Lukaku is wasteful with headed chances.
2013/14: leader, Bony (5); Lukaku, 3 (of 15)
2014/15: leader, four with 5; Lukaku, 1 (of 10)
2015/16: leader, Giroud (7); Lukaku 4 (of 18)
2016/17: leader, Llorente (8); Lukaku 6 (of 25)
Seems entirely likely that the change in style of play from Martinez to Koeman could be a factor in Lukaku's increase in headed goals.
I not slating lukaku, merely highlighting that Sigurdsson's assist are mostly from set pieces onto llorente's head.
If He could slot 8 additional world class set piece deliveries into the box to enable us to score 10 additional goals as a team than this season then that would be a huge benefit....however, probably more effective in the central 3 rather than further forward...
Hello mein frandels.
Today the transfer window has unofficially started, my team will begin the serious work of scouting some of the finest talents the world has ever seen. It will be a long process, but hopefully a happy 1, we will be looking at quality players in the following roles :
1 GK - Jordan Pickford
1 Fullback - Left sided, "cover" for Baines
2 CBs - Both first choice
1 CM - Number 8, with the much searched for magic in the boots
1 ACM - Number 10 or SS
2 Strikers - An old school number 9 and a wingforward
Thats our list as it stands, as the window moves and shakes, the goalposts might be moved.
So we will take them 1 at a time.
"Activate GK scouting"
Watch this space.
After many hours of footage studied and countless players watched, the transfer committee have declared Jordan Pickford as our choice for the GK role.
Im lying of course, like im wasting time watching GK vids.
We will now begin the search for a Left Fullback.
Not Everton related but Allardyce quits Palace.........back to Sunderland me thinks.

I'd have gilfy in all day long. He'd probably become one of our best players (depending who we sign) so play him wherever he wants.Siggy is at his most productive when playing as a 10 behind the striker. His stats for assists/chances created etc drop off when playing wide in a front 3 and are almost non existent if playing deeper in the middle 3.
I'm a big fan of his ever since he first arrived in England but I have concerns about where he's going to play for us for the reasons I've stated above. Koeman has been quite fluid in his formations this season but he is on record as saying his preferred formation is 433 with two wingers. If this is the case and his plans for Siggy are for him to play deeper, I'd say that's going to be a mistake and I'd rather not have him.
