I don't mind the idea of signing him but £25m and making him by far our highest earner would upset the balance. Fair few more players in the squad would expect a raise as well.

Well I think the ones Koeman thinks can take us to the top should get higher wages, if we want to be up there with the big boys it's no point us penny pinching as the player will just go elsewhere.

...makes the Hewelt signing interesting. The club won't want to be short of keepers so it might just be a bit of insurance in case targets fall through. Alternatively, they might rate him highly and want to see if he can support the first team squad.

Half serious half joking. I remember him playing early on and he had a total nightmare of a match.

But the very few times I've seen him recently he looked steady.

Probably means that Griffiths lad we keep loaning out will get released id guess.
