The weasels have been scared back into the shadows with us saying it would be released early.

The line of he's only backup etc falls down due to Coleman's injury meaning he's out at least half the season and likely to miss more than that.

Martinez offers absolutely nothing to the team, if he plays its one position that effectively every opponent will be better than us in.

Either Kenny is deemed good enough and we have no need for this player, or he isn't and yet again we have no need for this player and need to bring in someone who can cover at a solid level until Seamus is back.

You're kind of touching on what I mean.

My gut instinct is that Kenny has already been deemed ready, and that he'll be given some minutes in pre-season to get him up to speed ahead of the season starting.

However, Koeman wants to have a more experienced alternative if one (or both) of Holgate/Kenny is injured or struggling for consistency in a busy season.

Now instead of waiting until late in the window to see if that's happening, Koeman may be looking to pre-empt it with a cheap acquisition that can be done quickly with no fuss. The guy has PL experience and can come into the squad for pre-season, and that saves us having to spend a lot on wages and/or fees. That's why it makes sense.

Morata to AC Milan for £52 million seems a done deal.Wages of £125 k a week. Was rumoured that Chelsea had cooled their interest a week or so ago .

i think it is the message it sends to the youth,we have the best u23 in the country and they deserve to play.

Morrison WAS rated as a top English prospect

Byram did play like Garbutt

Tarashaj I was told was a top swiss prospect by someone who watches football in switzerland

NZogbia was good...before he was terrible lol

Hoilett and Clyne were good...Hoilett was rated at 10mil before he ran his contract down

All pretty logical
