Fair enough, my point wasn't they can't happen before july just the vast majority of them happen after July the 1st

Lots of deals "complete" post-July 1 because contracts expire and deals can begin being registered with the needed bodies but it's very, very easy to agree and sign everything off before that point.

Hence why we've announced Lossl and Madrid have signed Hazard, Jovic, and Rodrygo.

Is ther e an argument to be said that staggered transfers help more than the notion of "getting them in early"
Purely on a basis of moral and excitement

People are transfer fiends, they want one after another, if you get 4 players in on the exact day you report back to training and then do nothing else for 6 weeks, you are forgotten about, you are old news, there is no excitement.
A full pre season is important , it obviously allows the buying club to manage the fitness levels of their players but more importantly having your players training together each day and understanding how the manager wants the team to play and building an understanding with the players around you is easier over a longer period.
On top of all this you have the difficulties about moving to a new city, finding some place to live, maybe finding schools for children... it is better if all of that can be sorted during a slack period.

Oh i dont mean get everyone in on deadline day, more stagger the signings out, allow them to get full exposure etc.
Example, if we were to sign someone who was involved in an under 21 tournament, Copa America or Afcon, they wouldnt be coming back for first day of pre season.
You may aswell hold off on any anouncement to begining/mid August, to give the fans that little injection or moral boost that may have already dwindled had they signed in early June
