We aren't selling Pickford lads, no matter how many times you post it in capital letters.

He was a £25m investment and given a 6 year contract after his first year here. He is going to have to stoop to literal Karius levels of terrible before we even think about selling him.

I do think we will sign a competitive back up for next season though (if the club thinks it's too soon for Virginia).
Well that's worrying because karius outperformed him in pretty much ever department last time he was in this league

Seeing a lot of shouts online for a Gana plus cash for Ndombele deal to happen. Have to say his play against Barca in their last CL game was very impressive and better than anything I’ve seen from him so far.

Also really hope we don’t waste time on fekir for £63m. There’s a reason the RS didn’t go for that and we shouldn’t be the bigger fools to come out of this.

For that money if we were dead set on a Lyon player we should scoop Depay up instead. He’s biting for another chance at the Prem and could be played anywhere across the front 3.

Aouar and Ndombele would be a dream.

I think were still a bit off that and would say Sangare would be a great signing for us if we could land him.

so we have one player who is champions league quality / has played init..

unless you want to count theo.. who hasn't played in it for 4 years or more

Digne easily, Gomes, Bernard all have CL quality and pedigree, not their fault they bought into the bullS to come for our project haha

yes bit digne and gomes were deemed surplus and not good enough for champions league, hence coming to us..

I would say Digne is our only player who could actually get a move to champions league

our squad is that bad.

we should have several players ready to make that move up, or trying to get us there...

Digne wasn't notgood enough he was just up against a very very good player and decided he wanted game time. PSG Roma, Barca, he's the shiz, we are lucky to have him.

Also being not good enough for Barca still means you are probably good enough for 99% of teams out there in their defence.

Time will determine that...if there's one thing we've not seen from a large swathe of players, it's consistency. I'd take a hit on quality right now for some g'damn consistency. I don't know WTF to expect out of this team every time I watch it.

I think Digne has been consistent, he had a couple of games around christmas, FA cup where he lost his head a bit but other than that, him and Bernard have been the bright lights of a dark season for me.

That's why he's standing out...I'm talking over seasons, though. Everyone's happy with him, in general, but the man he replaced was consistent for seasons, not months. That's his next test and the next step for any player who wants to hold a spot down. I hope he can do it.
