Youre saying we dont sign champions league players...

I have no idea what that means lol

it means that players currently playing in the champions league wont be coming here..

and we don't have a track record of poaching champions league players from other clubs

we do attract misfits or players at champions league clubs but don't get games.

so when I read through these suggestions in here, players like fekir or ndombele etc etc its just laughable

You mean at this stage of the competition or in general as theres a lot of poor teams who qualify from countries and im confident we could get their players...

I think last summer was interesting because

Pickford, Digne, Gomes, Bernard could have joined champions league teams...

Also of course Mina joined us instead of Lyon which is the club Ndombele and Fekir play for...

If they were so amazing he would have joined them.

For some players such as Ndombele or Aouar they may feel we are a step forward before taking the leap to a top side down the track.

The same thing happened with Michael Essien who joined Lyon from Bastia before his big move to Chelsea. We were after him when he was at Bastia.

It may make more sense for Ndombele to join us first before going to an even better team.

we cant afford 180k per week in wages

He seems to play well one game (stats wise) and then a poor match the following week.

Watching him before he seemed massively overrated to me.

I would hope we go for 'Tosun type signings'. Obviously not of the same calibre but left field players who Brands feels can step up and push us up a level as opposed to Walsh purchases.

We have to hope brands works some magic.
