Folks, where can I see on the internet the pre-season start dates for Premier League clubs? Ours begins tomorrow, but I wanted to see when the remaining clubs... Thanks ;)

I just don't want traore, don't know why, I just don't think he's that superstar we need. He seems big and powerful so will hold his own in the league, I dunno, just something about him. He played well v us, but we were awful then, all their players looked like men against us.
I think it's clear we're looking at a left footer who plays mostly on the right. Of the ones that have been linked, there has been a lot of variance in experience and quality, from the Danish kid Skov Olsen, upto Ajax's David Neres.. I wouldn't be surprised if there is an element of truth in each of them as Brands keeps his options open. If we can bring in a striker like Kean for a relatively low cost, we can afford to spend more on the right wing position, so expect us to go after somebody like Neres or Under. If we have to spend big on the striker, or end up throwing money at a top full back like Semedo, you can see him going for a cheaper option like Traore or Skov, or even Malcolm on loan.

It would be fantastic to get the very best in each position we have a need, but realistically we have to balance the books and we may have to make do with somebody like Traore for now. Provided we don't pay above £25m I don't have a problem with this. He is an upgrade on what we have already, gives us an extra dimension, and will retain his value should we decide to upgrade in the future.

Only Brands and Silva know the bigger picture. We just have to trust in them to get it right. Personally I fully expect us to use the loan market again as it worked for us last year.

I wouldn't mind Traore, but I think Jean-Michel Aulas would make it very difficult to sanction a move to us and would probably actively try to dissuade him against it. There would like be a premium on top of a premium.

For Aulas, we typify the sort of club with money and delusion based on relatively nothing to back it up other than PL status, competing unfairly in his eyes against continental clubs such as his playing in Europe year in year out, and magnified having beaten us twice recently.

Of course that's his problem but I think it can at times present an issue for us based on the political agenda being played in the boardrooms of some clubs, and particularly those with an ego like Aulas' at play. It boils down to jealousy and resentment, but those are human emotions and they can and do get in the way.

He made a comment last season that he was certain Mina would join them over us based on their being UCL regulars, and us well, not being. It's money, stupid.
I wouldn't mind him getting egg on his face again whilst getting a good player off his hands and into our squad.

Repeatedly booed by their fans 2nd half of the season...think it will be an easy sale for the player.

If Traore is an improvement on Walcott then it’s a yes from me.
A bag of cement would be an improvement on Walcott, tbf.

Or, imagine Walcotts deal runs out soonish...whereas we would be stuck with traore.

Stupid Echo denying we are interested in Traore. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Why for a change they come with some inside who we ARE actually interested in signing.

You have to trust in Brands to be prepared to walk away if he's asking too much. Same with Ajax over Neres.
