just imagine Bernard playing in the championship, not a single defender in that league would be able to get remotely close to him
You mean like when he was playing in the Ukrainian League and got 5 assists in 5 years?
24 assists but okay. He averaged a goal or assist every 143 minutes in that league. You mean like when he was playing in the Ukrainian League and got 5 assists in 5 years?

Maybe our interest turned heads ?
They wanted him last year as well,if you believed reportsahh imagine the fume when Liverpool sign him and he's absolutely boss
No he doesn't but Bernard is far from the only one that can do it.People seem to overlook the fact that to get an assist you must have someone bagging after past the pass/cross.
We spurned plenty of chances last season. Siggurdson rounding the goalkeeper and having it blocked on the line denies Bernard an assist.
Anyone who watches football enough can recognise Everton were a better team last season with Bernard in it.
Pienaar was crap infront of goal and not great at getting tonnes of assists but his link up with Baines meant between him and Baines they'd contribute enough. Do we really think Digne creates as many chances as he did without a solid AML to link up with? no.
His ability to hold onto possession under pressure is very valuable too - great tool for taking players out the game and opening up space for others to exploit.People seem to overlook the fact that to get an assist you must have someone bagging after past the pass/cross.

Bernard loses the ball more often, has fewer shots per game and fewer successful crosses per game than Barnes.
He has 2 goals and 3 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions. At 26. Barnes has 10 goals and 8 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions. At 21. He was called back to Leicester after being one of the best players in the Championship and continued that form in the Prem in the 2nd half of the season.
Personal preference, I'd rather take a chance on a kid who I think will play for England, as opposed to Bernard who's ceiling (in my opinion) isn't too far from where he is now.
