A CM/DM to replace Gana
A left footed wing forward
A first choice Striker

Thats gotta be the very min for me.

Of course if the likes of Snides, Walcott, Holgate are moved on, they would need replacing, most others we can cull without replacing.

If we do sign these (even taking away the RB as the defensive mid may be able to cover there) then I can’t help but think at least one of them would have to be a free or a loan.

Not convinced we won’t end up with Welbeck..

Thats what I think we need to have any real chance of doing anything this season.

I defo wouldnt be ruling out loans, as for frees, cant say ive seen the whole list, but I doubt it.

The worrying this is, after Richarlison and Sigurdsson with 13 league goals each, our third highest leading goal scorer last season was Lewin with 6!

Very little quality, I mean of course the Snides we currently have isnt peak Zidane, but if you go down the list on the "options" aside from the main men.

McCarthy - Likely to leave, a tiny bit injury prone.
Besic - See above
Joe Williams - Largely unproven at a decent level
Beni - Appears to have gone AWOL
Connolly - We arent even sure where he plays

So that would then leave us with the players we are certain of, we are likely to play 2 DMs and 1 ACM.

New player/Delph 6ish
Davies/Gomes 8ish
Iceland/???? 10ish

So in short maybe snides wouldnt need replacing, if we are sure of the quality of some players I mention above.

In all honesty, we wouldn't be any worse off as last season. Agree though, we certainly could do with an extra body in there.

In zahas best ever season Ashley Barnes still outscored him. As did Murray, Wilson, king , mitrovic and rondon. Please don’t say Zaha played as a winger because he played as striker the majority of last season

Next week there has to be some major movement, as others have said we need about 5 minimum including Ganas replacement if he goes. We’re actually weaker than last season without Zouma and about to get weaker as Gana goes and his replacement needs time to bed in. And yet I’m not worried. Brands will get it sorted just like last year.

Going off pre-season so far(I know it's pre-season).But we lack pace at the back(no Zouma), intensity in midfield (no Gana) and cutting edge up front. Tons to do.
