Proper cartoonishly embarrassing that some people still have their tongue up they Echo’s hoop because they’ve “shot down” such ridiculous rumours as “Everton to bid £70m for Nicolas Pepe” and “Everton willing to pay £60m plus half their squad for Zaha”. Jesus, 95% of the fanbase could’ve put out articles shooting those down.

They haven’t called a single legitimate or realistic thing all summer, regarding incomings OR outgoings. And the hedging of their bets on the Kean thing just shows them up for what they are. They don’t have a shred of credibility left.

I guess if you try to send two players out and the bid gets rejected or could still get rejected you have no real choice but to deny it with everything you have since those players are going to still be around.

Sorry for what? They don’t even know if we’ve made a bid for Kean, they admitted it earlier on their “inside track” that they’re basically making it up as they go along and guessing.
