Does anybody listen to the club anymore we was told all targets had been identified in April this window at the moment looks very unplanned with the current squad 8-12 league finish very frustrating
I would imagine a rather long list was drawn up then, with priorities, costs, etc. Doesnt mean to say selling clubs will play ball when we want them too. I would be more worried if the club announced today that after an emergency meeting a totally new list had just geen drawn up. Relax, Marcels got this.

Reckon our hands are a bit tied because of how many wasters we still have on the books. It may be that we have to leave buying a winger for now, as we'll have Bolasie and Mirallas who will have to play backup.

Centre mid could be another, it seems we won't sell gueye if we don't get a replacement, but if we can't shift besic and Mccarthy, can we buy one anyway?

It's not sell to buy, it's all about staying within the laws and aiding our future signings. We've sold a few like lookman and Vlasic who would have been more us than about 10 players we want to sell, but they in their right mind were deadwood.

Just leaving this here again to remind people of what can be done in a few days...

As someone pointed out yesterday; let's take a look at who hadn't signed last Summer as of 21st July:

Richarlison - 24th July - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44946473
Digne - 1st August - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45024174
Bernard - 9th August - https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bernard-signs-with-everton/view/news/316185
Gomes - 9th August - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/11467329/everton-loan-andre-gomes-from-barcelona
Mina - 9th August - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45120522
Zouma - 10th August - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45142211

Stop flapping.

This really.

I have no problem with the bid. But to just then pull out after having one bid rejected (at this stage in the window) is very odd. So the statement is either balls and we're off back for him, or we are genuinely pulling out which seems an extremely strange thing to do after lobbing in a record fee for us but one we knew would get rejected as it was short of Palace's valuation.

I agree with shouts that the deal was an opportunistic one, but if the club were willing to lump up a club-record fee, then that 'opportunistic' bid, by definition, becomes a priority, especially since its so late in the window.

I'm not panicking. I reckon we have it in hand. But it has been left late and then if we really have pulled out after one bid then I have to question the sense in it.

I hope it’s a massive smokescreen to get Barca to lower their fee for Malcom.

And the rumour that he’s joining Zenit is them smoke screening back.

We must have known palace would reject 55m, they’re publicly asking for 80m.

Just because you banged a fittie one saturday night doesn't mean you'll pull every other weekend.

At some point we'll come a cropper leaving our business this late.

We’ve signed 2 outfield players permanently and up to now have not lost 1 player from our strongest starting XI from last season.

Once Gana goes we will see movement in that department and by all accounts Kean is widely reported as in the bag.

We’ve obviously got money as we confirmed we made a bid for Zaha.

See you can spin it to male it sound positive.
