Think it's gone over your head.
My point is that the rag is terrible when it comes to football transfers.
The Esk is also terrible when it comes to transfers.
Therefore shouldn't both be ignored.
All getting very interesting.. thanks Eggs......with just 3 days of the window left, things seem to be getting a bit busy. Here’s a morning round-up of Toffee Transfer news for Tuesday 6th August;
- The Liverpool Echo say if Marco Silva gets his wish and brings in a string of other arrivals, this could be the most expensive week in Everton’s history. Gbamin arrived on Friday for £25m followed by Kean on Sunday for £25.3m, already bringing the total spend to over £50m.
- According to Foot Mercato Journalist, Bertrand Latour, Monaco right back Djibril Sidibé will be joining Everton. The 27 year old French international will move on loan for €2.5m with a €14m option to buy.
- The Independent report Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha, expects to be an Everton player before this transfer window closes. The Eagles want £65m as long as that figure is paid up front, Everton are willing to meet that figure and are working on a payment structure. The Mail say Everton have re-opened talks for the Ivory Coast International, whilst the BBC suggest the Toffees have put together a package worth £100m which includes midfielder James McCarthy and striker Cenk Tosun, both 28.
- Everton are set to land Brazilian starlet, Reinier, says Globo Esporte. The Flamengo playmaker is on the verge of joining the Toffees in a deal which will see him move to Goodison in January. The 17 year old is touted as one of the top talents in Brazilian football.
- Speaking to the Liverpool Echo about the ‘#Free Zouma’ campaign, Everton Manager, Marco Silva, said he hadn’t seen it and didn’t want to talk about the Chelsea defender: “What is the priority is the central defender, when we cannot get through a tough season with Mason, Michael and Mina - even if the boy Gibson is working with us, he’s not yet ready for this level.”
- The Express report Everton are yet to return to Watford with an improved bid for midfielder, Abdoulaye Doucoure, whilst The Telegraph say the 26 year old is not for sale at any price this late in the window when they can’t bring in a replacement.
- Amidst interest from Bournemouth, Burnley and Sheffield United, The Daily Mail suggest Everton is willing to accept £8m for defender Mason Holgate.
- When asked about speculation linking them with Nicolas Pepe in July, The Times quote a ‘senior Everton official’ as saying: “forget it, we’re running a football club here.” The 24 year old joined Arsenal for a reported £72m.
- Turkish outlet, Aksam, say Galatasaray want Toffees striker Cenk Tosun once 31 year old forward Kostas Mitroglou leaves. Football Insider continue to suggest winger Henry Onyekuru is set to leave for Monaco in a deal worth £12m.

Assuming this is down to cost, it’s exactly why I’m not believing these Zaha rumours. With a rumoured wage of 200k a week and anything between 65-100 million in fee, it’ll more than likely be an even more expensive deal than the Pepe one.......with just 3 days of the window left, things seem to be getting a bit busy. Just doesn’t seem plausible to me.
