Expecting a CB pairing to go a whole season without injury or suspension?

Yeah I would be very interested how often that has happened in the last 20 years or so.

They only have to do it till January tho.

But no, they wont do it sadly, IMO.

It seemed like Leicester went the entire season without an injury when they won the league

We’ll deffo buy a CB in January. I think if we had got Zouma then this would have been a cracking window. As it is im pretty happy, but worried about CB.

The key period is between January and February. In England there are a lot of games in those 2 months ... Holgate and Gbamin will play some games for sure as central defenders

i made a mistake. Is December and January that i wanna say. That 2 last weeks of December with the Boxing Day and with the Start of FA CUP in January, that períod is difficult

Greg O’Keefe in a Q&A in The Athletic confirmed Silva’s determination to pursue Zouma as long as possible and his refusal to accept any CB options without PL experience led to the late Smalling/Rojos flirtation tallying with something I was told and posted yesterday. It would suggest that Silva moaning about it at the press conference might not sit well with Brands and the Board who could be forgiven for telling him that he only has himself to blame.

Having just listened to Marco's press conference, if you haven't gran a listen. It seems to me the one he was most annoyed about was Rojo not coming, which surprised me, but he obviously was keen on the deal and on the basis he wont play at United I wonder what went wrong

It's funny how they all trying to blame the other and season has not even started...they must really be concerned that it could hurt us big time not to have another decent option at cb...if silva wanted a cb from the premier league then get him a cb from the premier league -that is your job brand
...there are many cb with premier league experience.

I just can't see both staying fit and playing every game till January. Not likely is it. Holgate can be ok alongside one of Mina or Keane but for extended periods and we are in trouble.Maybe there is a free agent worth a go, I don't know
