I honesty thought we'd found our very own Diego Costa and for peanuts when we signed him.

Those first few games I was just hoping he was settling in..

I saw him on telly and thought the same as you about him settling in, but it wasn’t until I actually saw him in the flesh (god knows what game but he got a lot of minutes) that I realised he was just awful.

I think we’d get rid of Mirallas without too much of an issue and possibly even Bolasie at a huge loss (not a bad thing) but an awful Sandro and a Schneiderlin who doesn’t seem to want to play football anymore are going to linger for a long time to the detriment of our recruitment policy.

Mirallas is 31 like. That annoyed me when I looked it up the other day.

Tricky one with him, I could only see him going back to Besiktas in Turkey who are in all kinds of financial difficulty as he seems that kind of loyal player. Prem loan with a hope to an undisclosed fee in my book.

Of course I base this on absolutely nothing more than outragous guesswork and the pint I’m currently drinking.

- 1 year left on contract. Find a taker or any fee / free.

Garbutt (estimated 20k a week)
- 1 year left on contract. Find a taker or any fee / free.

Besic (estimated 40k a week)
- 2 years(!) left on contract. Find a buyer for a nominal fee, anywhere.

McCarthy (estimated 50k a week)
- 1 year left on contract. Sell to anybody willing to take him off us.

Schneiderlin (estimated 120k a week)
- 2 years(!) left on contract. Sell to anybody willing to take him off us.

Sandro (estimated 120k a week)
- 2 years(!) left on contract. Find a buyer for a nominal fee, anywhere.

Mirallas (estimated 50k a week)
- 1 year left on contract. Find a taker or any fee / free.

Bolasie (estimated 70k a week)
- 2 years(!) left on contract. Find a buyer for a nominal fee, anywhere.

Tosun (estimated 70k a week)
- 3 years(!) left on contract. Find a buyer for a nominal fee, anywhere.

Niasse (estimated 60k a week)
- 1 year left on contract. Find a buyer for a nominal fee, anywhere.

Getting rid of the above would save us around 45m a season in wages. If we could get around 50m in fees combined for Niasse, Tosun, Bolasie, Schneiderlin, McCarthy, Besic, Mirallas we'll have done amazing.

For those laughing - you lads do realise its going to cost us atleast £45-50 million to just stand still signing Zouma and Gomes?

Add even just 2 more players of around £25-30 million and your looking at the £100 million mark.

Moshiri himself has even said the strategy is biggers fees for players on smaller wages.

Its not delusional to imagine the above scenario happening (with different signings depending on who we go for and how many are out the door)

Besic likely off to Boro for £4-5 mil

Mirallas probably will stay in Italy

Bolasie maybe out the door

Niasse hopefully stays at Cardiff

Think Jags and Williams contracts are up

Martina will be off to Holland or the like.

The only players I fear we will struggle to get rid of are Sandro, Schnerderlin and Tosun. Tosun might go providing the club make it clear he's not got a future as he seems keen to stick around like a bad smell.

McCarthy will likely get a loan move away or somewhere for a few million to a WBA type club.
