If it was the cheapest of 6 new player purchases then, by all means...but we know that won't be the case. We've got glaring deficiencies in more important areas. I wouldn't class CM as the most important though, for me, unless Gana scurries off...and the fact I'm pretty confident Gomes is coming in.
 
I’m all for Brands marching up to Watford and paying that clause to steal Joao Pedro from them, looks like they've found another gem from Brazil. Wouldn't mind stealing whoever their scout is over there too.

Yeah, Gomes doesn't solve our problems I don't think. I'm also assuming Schneiderlin is off, as he should be. Gomes is a good player, but we need a player that can play as a sitting 6 or can be a tough DM that can push forward and create a bit when they push up higher. A true all around stud with athleticism and power. We need our Doucoure.

Personally i'd be fine with Richarlison upfront + one of those 3 right sided players coming in. Ideally 2 so we can rotate.

Think Richarlison would do better upfront with that kind of support being him

No, to be clear, I think he's great. The dude watches SO MUCH footy AND understands modern tactics and analysis. I just don't recall him saying he thought Richarlison is going to be our CF. Maybe over time. He also likes Malcom the best out of all those guys because he creates rather than just scores. He also was pretty balanced with Traore I thought. He might like Sangare more than me.

Never mind. Zat said gradually, I clearly read it too quickly on my phone earlier.

I do t think brands will sign a class LB in Digne for 18m then go and buy someone for 30m and put him on the bench behind our player of the season. He’s not stupid
