....I really can’t see the point in such loans. The lad is well thought of at this point in time, he should be sold. Of course, if he does well his stock will rise, but if he doesn’t his value will drop and he’ll have a year less on his contract.

Ah well, it’s a great move for Kenny and i’m sure Brands knows what he’s doing.

Seems odd we’d let Kenny go before securing a new RB. Unless the plan is for Holgate to cover RB and CB.

I’d be guessing a new RB will arrive and we’ve allowed this because we have Holgate who can play there if we balls up in the transfer market.

I think it’s a great great move for Kenny though.

Ok he’s 29 & 4/5th - bit pedantic of you, but the points still the same - if PSG come back he will want to go, like he did in January. And you don’t sell your best players?? You mean like spurs did with modric and bale? Or the sh*te did with Suarez? Worked out dreadful for them.
It’s not pedantic at all. You said he was over 30 yet he hasn’t even turned 30 yet. People do this a lot to strengthen their argument who want to flood the team with unproven youngsters. I’ve seen @Zatara has liked a few of your posts so it makes sense now.

You’ve clearly got a short memory because when Spurs sold Bale they bought about 7 players with the money and sacked their manager about 6 months later due to poor results. When Liverpool sold Suarez they’d just missed out on the league and the following season they finished 7th and Rodgers lost his job.

I fail to see how either of those examples represent success.

For the sake of it let’s break the Spurs situation down.

With the Bale money Spurs bought: Soldado (flop), Lamela (decent but hasn’t lived up to expectations), Chiriches (flop), Paulinho (flop), Eriksen (success), Capoue (flop), Chadli (flop)

Hardly a resounding success.

Playing 20-30 games in the bundesliga which really give him the chance to kick on, he’s 22 so really should be playing competitive men’s footy to gauge how good is is. He’s local so you’d hope if he does well and we tell him we want him in the first team that he would jump at the chance and not seek a move etc. I’m not very confident he will ever be good enough but you can see he loves playing for us and in a perfect world he will go there , kick on and be really pushing an ageing Coleman next year

So he’s not good enough for our starting XI but good enough for a side who would probably wallop us if we were ever good enough to qualify for European comp.

Weird football isn’t it!

Bolasie used to place for palace and destroy us at home and the RS at the pit on a regular basis.
