Good move. He will definitely improve at such club.

So he’s not good enough for our starting XI but good enough for a side who would probably wallop us if we were ever good enough to qualify for European comp.
Weird football isn’t it!

Not sure why some are suggesting we could sell Cenk - he's injured and having an operation, think we are pretty much stuck with him for now.
How much would an ambitious club spend on one?So since you can't name a player, how much of our transfer budget do you want to spend on one? Young player? Old player?
Your own.1 of our own.
...because it;s make do and mend.Isn't that our problem right there? We don't have any real, option apart from Baines?
Yeah, because Baines is an adequate stand in for Digne.Never change, Dave. At the end of that rainbow, is an effluent pipe churning out human excrement into a unicorn's mouth.

For a season, he is. I am more immediately concerned with almost all other positions in either terms of a new 1st team player or suitable back-up.Yeah, because Baines is an adequate stand in for Digne.
Baines in for an injured Digne for any length of time sees us shipping goals. For a season, he is. I am more immediately concerned with almost all other positions in either terms of a new 1st team player or suitable back-up.
Digne should have a full summer off and full pre-season and hopefully will settle in and be fully fit and relatively resistant to niggles and injuries; plus we don't have Europe so saying he should stay fit seems like a reasonable presumption. So no need to splurge on left back cover. Next year though it will become a rather pressing concern as Baines is one year older and will lack even more match time to keep his sharpness.
Unfortunately due to the way the last few seasons have panned out, we are probably better sorting out striker, right back, centre half, mid field than this one.

He is not a defender, and he now doesn't even have the speed to get into position.
Digne/Baines at RB is a calamity in the making. It'll wreck thje season if we have Digne injured.
I am losing faith in Brands if he's handing contracts to 34 year olds.
What happened to the 25 years and younger rule?
Playing 20-30 games in the bundesliga which really give him the chance to kick on, he’s 22 so really should be playing competitive men’s footy to gauge how good is is. He’s local so you’d hope if he does well and we tell him we want him in the first team that he would jump at the chance and not seek a move etc. I’m not very confident he will ever be good enough but you can see he loves playing for us and in a perfect world he will go there , kick on and be really pushing an ageing Coleman next year
