And my point being that we need to fundamentally change what we do. We got away with it (completely undeservedly) on several occasions throughout our recent (post 80s history). We have been a dire club for many years. Only now, the amount of money we spaff on dross has increased to breaking point. Plus we have the cost of stadium around us.

Need sharp changes.

Only reason we got away from it in the 00's was because we hired a actually adult in moyes who essentially told everyone to sod off while he ran the entire club essentially.

As soon as he left and the board was asked to actually do their jobs again it swiftly became apparent they didn't have a clue when they didn't have moyes pulling rabbits out of a hat every season.

The martinez deal still blows my mind. Giving a manager a deal we couldn't afford to sack him from and no break clause in the contract for poor performance.

We're literally run by idiots and the one thing idiots love is working with other idiots. Then thats who they hire.

Would be nice to have a few signings and not just Ashley Young to lift the spirits because this is horrific watching us sell young promising players for pittance, the Simms one I can understand but Samuel Smith one will haunt us, we have got rid of loads of deadwood and many more to follow but still fresh blood needed.
though i agree with all that, I'm not sure we had much say in his transfer
He wasn't signing as far as I know

Yeah his head was probably turned but hard to to blame young lads when they see how the board are so inept. Who really wants to be a part of it. Hopefully the likes of Mills,Warrington, Braintwaite are all part of the first team plans going forward.

Get the frustration on players coming into the club, was always going to happen. I am trying keep positive but as it get closer if we dont bring players in and the amount that we need in before the fulham game. Then will be anger we cant have another season like the last two.

Rubbish players on skillful players' wages only leave once their contract has expired so you have a long wait.
