Summer transfer window 2023

Villa fans really rated what Young did for them last year. They are proper fans not prawn sandwich munchers, Surrey investment bankers on a lads day out or Bangalore selfie stick wielders. We might want to put a bit more weight on their views. Young has barely missed a game in seven years and had the reputation of being the fittest player at United when he was there. Obviously he is a stop gap but there is an above negligible chance he improves us, just like he improved Villa.

Yeah but imagine a spurs fan reading what we thought of Richy when he signed for them… fast forward 12 months and they will be wondering what the hell we were talking about

It is hard to believe Everton would blow 22m on a 19 year, albeit he is an outstanding prospect, and leave naff all money for much needed additions to the squad. That suggests that the transfer budget may be a lot healthier than many believe
Or that we can put a small down payment and the rest is spread as we did with Mcneil people seem to think you have to put the entire fee down at once not necessarily

We still don't know what we will need, do we? If Cannon goes out on loan and Onana is sold then that picture looks very different. But if we get an offer for Iwobi I imagine that Gnonto would then be given a chance on the right. If we don't sell Iwobi then I can't see Dyche risking Gnonto till needs must. He'll play Doucs and Iwobi, I think
if Onana is sold I would imagine we would be bringing in 3 or 4 players with the money.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. If we really have the cash for one biggish money signing this summer, he's not the type of player I'd chose to spend it on. I'd use it to improve the spine of the team through the center, not go for a 19yo flash harry winger thats likely to be booted into the stands within the first 5 mins of most games.

From the Leeds fans I've heard describe him, he seems like the next Adama Traore, only smaller. He's not been linked to any other PL team that I can recall, so what are we seeing that none of the rest do? For sure, if he does well for us his value is likely to rocket given his age. I just don't trust our scouting team to be able to find the jewel where others can't.
Villa were linked with him

Would absolutely adore this guy back, paper lungs and all.

It's nothing like a season of The Dyche to make you appreciate former mavericks who got you off your seat.

Michael Keane gets me out of my seat every time he touches the ball… or attempts to should I say.

But Richy was the star Everton player and the 1st name on the team sheet. He was a starting striker for Brasil. Young was a squad player at Villa and was meant to cover for injury or suspension when needed and maybe add a bit of experience to the dressing room or for the last 10 mins of a game. But Young forced his way into the 1st 11, ahead of both Digne and Cash on many occasions and looked to be one of our best players on the pitch. His fitness levels are excellent and is an extremely intelligent player. Yes, he is lacking a bit of pace but if the rest of the team is aware of this and cover for him then he can be a really useful player
