The more concrete links don't demonstrate much prep work done in the European / Global market.

Have to see what happens but doing the bulk of business in the home market is generally more expensive all round on a like for like basis.

A good transfer strategy is flexible and varied with regards to fees paid, wages, ages of players, origin etc.

With money tighter than ever they really have to make every £ count, and spread it as wide as possible.

Should be less risk though. Already settled, understand pace of PL etc

Yeah, it has been bad. We gave Nuno Valente less for worse.

I don't know what has happened with our club. I went up a couple times last season and the toxicity within the ground toward our own players is a bit much. I'm all for holding the board accountable, but the squad itself doesn't need it.

Couldn't agree more. Players being used out of position or in position with no support kept getting absolutely slated. It's OK to be frustrated in the moment and we need to recognise when things aren't working out, but the let's keep the animosity for those that deserve it. Like, you know, the opposition
