I honestly can't say I've seen enough of the lad to give a proper opinion on him.
Being Utd signings in recent years, just makes me want to write him off.
But after last seasons 'Utd Cast off' you just never know.
The lad is young and pacey, he might just need a new club to progress..

Though I expect I'm just trying to talk myself in to this, so we've got another player through the door...

Not sure I agree with the Thewell bashing . We’ve no idea what finances he has to work with although looking from the outside in there’s very little there . Elanga the current cause for criticism. We got Jimmy G last season and I think we may have a really good player on our hands . No one can tell whether Elanga will work out . It may be a case he needs regular football . He may bomb .. who knows but Jesus give the boy a chance . 8/10 million even if he bombs still isn’t the biggest of risks . We need an additional striker though .

😄 Pukki is all we got and he's old as hell. Pohjanpalo is decent lets buy him
I don’t know Finn. He looks like he’s up to no good. Could be trouble.

Little bit deflated by Elanga don’t know why.

That said I felt the same about McNeill, so this might be another - man wrong on the internet shocker.

I wanted McNeil. I also wanted Garner who wasnt used by United.

I dont think (m)any of us have seen much of Elanga. For me, he seems a bit 'Iwobi'. Meaning...runs around alot...but no consistent quality.

Id rather we sold Iwobi and Gray and made a signing. Even Alex Scott could be played on the right for a season to bed him in.

It's because he isn't very good. As I said in one of my original posts, he's fast and works VERY hard defensively. I worry that this is going to be our thing now - ignoring attacking output in favour of hard running. Good to have hard running, but not at the expense of scoring goals.

He's still young and, if we sign him, I really hope he proves me wrong, but I think the club signs players based on what would be the easiest deals to do and not who are the best we might attract.

Agreed.

Tarkowski, Onana, Vinagre, Garner, Mcneil, Maupay, Coady

At any one time, 5 of those players were in the first 11. The other player didn't get a sniff because he was that crap.

Nearly half of that team is under his watch and the quality is fkin abysmal.

There's a big loan market out there, he seems incapable of using it properly. What little money we had to spend has been massively hit and miss and once again I'm having to say this for about the 45th time since the end of the season but we were 33 minutes away from relegation.

But anyway, you cut him some slack if you want and we'll catch up again in a few months if we are in the same position.

Vinagre and Coady are gone. Sell Maupay and were left with;

Tarkowski
Onana
Garner
McNeil

4 quality players.

@The Bobble thoughts?

The social media team posted James Rodriguez’s first goal to YouTube today. You reckon if the video does good numbers they’ll try to sign him? 🥸

lol lol lol

Tbf the goals against column increased every year he managed and he didn’t finish any higher in the table than the previous year.

The squad was not fit enough and he didn’t believe in corners.

His teams made a huge amount of individual errors which cost goals and games and teams could almost score at will against us .

He also spouted absolute crap and has done nothing of note since he left .

Need goal scorers and need to sign them sooner rather than when the season has already started. This team has needed goal scorers since Lukaku left. Horrible from the board.
