Don't think elanga is great but he's young with potential so if it's a loan with option or a relatively cheaper deal similar to garner I'd be happy with that.

Buying people young and fairly cheap always allows you the option to move them on pretty easily if it doesn't work out without losing TO much.

Everton doesn't pursue many Championship players unless they just got relegated to get there. I do think there are missed opportunities at that level.

Yeah he’s deffo a good human shield. Whether or not he’s a good DoF we’ll only know when he’s allowed to do the job without their interference.

I really want Harrison if I’m honest, I think for what we need - an established PL player who will add goals and assists, the quality gap between him and Elanga is vast (based on what I’ve seen of Elanga, which is limited) and the price not so much.

But look, I would have said the same about McNeill and Cornet last year.

That is the deal i want him on loan is less of a risk for us, and helps us save money for the other side.

I completely agree and understand with your point but what we know is that everyone who has been hired by the current regime are simply there to protect the status quo.

Those who disagree are shipped out or walk . So with that in mind anyone who agrees to stay are enablers no ?

January was a mess but what I’m mainly reacting to is the idea that thelwell just isn’t arsed and hasn’t tried to sign anyone.
He clearly has targets in mind - but they didn’t come off in January. One of them seemingly gave us his word and then binned us off for a team who barely used him and he’s now giving us the come to bed eyes again.

He was watching us start games with Gordon as a lone striker and brought a striker in who cannot score. Then January comes round and he brings no one in, not one striker on loan. Even Danjuma disaster, he was a winger. We desperately need goalscorers
