Morning mates.

Welcome to the 14th July Everton transfer 💩 show…..

I’ve tried to bundle together as many of the transfer rumours flying around, combining them into one bite size and heart burn inducing portion for your dining pleasure.

I make some apology for some of the sources and articles used.

Everton have made an approach to sign Almeria striker El Bilal Toure this summer, according to Daily Mail journalist Simon Jones. The Toffees have long been linked with a move for the Mali international after a solid campaign in La Liga last season, scoring seven goals and registering two assists, including a goal against La Liga champions Barcelona in February.

Everton have made their first “major” bid of the summer as they look to sign Almeria forward El Bilal Toure, according to The Mirror. The newspaper claims the Toffees have submitted an offer in the region of £25million as Sean Dyche is “desperate” to strengthen his attacking options, but that falls short of the La Liga outfit’s £34million valuation of the Mali international.

Everton have been handed a financial windfall as they were sent $755,580 (£578,000) from FIFA for sending players to the 2022 World Cup. The governing body stated that a total of 440 clubs were paid a total of $209million (£160million) for sending players to Qatar.

Everton appear to have accidentally revealed the identity of their next signing in a training clip posted to their official social media accounts. The video shows James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil competing in a head-to-head duel but it is the off-camera voices that can be heard that have attracted attention. While McNeil and Tarkowski jostle in a game of tag, a coach is in conversation with his colleague and appears to say “we’ve got Jonny Evans coming in”.

Everton remain in discussions with Villarreal for Dutch winger Arnaut Danjuma, with the player already having a meeting with Sean Dyche, according to Fabrizio Romano. Everton have re-ignited their interested in the former Bournemouth man, and according to Romano (14 July) taking to his personal Twitter account, AC Milan and Feyenoord are also in the race to sign him.

Everton manager Sean Dyche has decided that forward Neal Maupay just isn’t good enough to play for the club this season. That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that the Blues are keen to add a forward to the squad this summer, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin also deemed unreliable due to his injury record.

Manchester United and Chelsea stars have led the flood of support for Everton man Dele Alli online after the midfielder opened up on his off-the-pitch mental health battles. The 27-year-old sat down with Gary Neville on The Overlap podcast to open up about recent time spent in rehab after an addiction to sleeping pills. The Toffees star also spoke of his childhood trauma and being sexually abused as a six-year-old boy.

With claims that Iliman Ndiaye is heading closer to an exit this summer despite Sheffield United getting promoted back to the Premier League, the Blades have targeted a new striker in Bénie Traoré. The Bramall Lane star has been linked with a move to Marseille in the south of France, which is a club he is a huge fan of, but there have also been claims he could head to another Premier League club, with Everton, Nottingham Forest and Fulham all interested. This comes via L’Equipe on Friday,

Everton have identified how many transfer signings they want to make ahead of the first day of the season. That’s according to The Telegraph, who have reported that Sean Dyche wants at least four new additions following the arrival of Ashley Young.

With his contract expiring in 12 months and his recent rejuvenation in form, there are several clubs keeping an eye on Alex Iwobi. According to Football Transfers, the 27 year old is being tracked by Fulham and Inter Milan. Fulham manager Marco Silva signed Iwobi in 2019 when he was the EFC boss. Now, the Portuguese manager is eyeing a reunion with the Nigerian, who is valued at £24 million by Transfermarkt.

Everton are amongst the clubs who have made an enquiry for Juventus’ 21-year-old defender Koni De Winter, it has been claimed in Italy. The Toffees have signed Ashley Young on a free transfer and have tabled a bid for Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga. According to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, the Toffees have made an enquiry into the potential signing of De Winter from Juventus.

Once again, thanks mate. Good to have it all on one place....even the stuff that makes you shudder

I understand that but taking a chance on Branthwaite is one of the smaller risks we should be taking next season. No matter who we sign we are going to be in a relegation scrap. But this safety first approach...sign old guys who know the job...means we are resigned to fighting to stay in the league year after year
I get the concern but if they are only 12 month contracts and do the job next season then if the financials are looking better next season Everton could look for more potential in the signings and players to develop.

The De Winter rumour i think is fake. He could be at Onana levels of resale in one or two seasons. I expect he starts for Juventus next season.

We have 5 CBs. We should sell one now (Holgate).

Any incomings should mean a Keane/Godfrey sale.
It’s just too easy to say ‘sell’ though isn’t it? We should be getting £10/15mil+ MINIMUM for these players in this market. How often do you see a club sell 2 players in one position and replace them both in the same window? We’re in the financial mud and need to be deliberate and considered with every move. If we practically give away Keane/Holgate then what can we spend on replacements that improve on them without seriously damaging our financial position again? I’m not against whole squad improvement obviously but we can’t do too much right now if noises are to be believed. I agree that Juve link is blag but how much of a prospect is he over Branthwaite? We have to take a risk on him and play him or cash in now whilst we can reasonably demand a higher fee
