Yeah, to be honest he’d have been mad to come to us in January too. Not his fault it didn’t work out at Spurs but any player would’ve gone for a team managed by Conte then who were looking to be fairly easily getting into the CL over a managerless team that looked set to go down.

Didn’t work out for him but he absolutely made the right move at the time and I wouldn’t begrudge him for it.

But who do we sell? Onana is the only asset we have and can actually afford to sell, and I’m positive we won’t get a better player in return- so it won’t be worth it. Gray and Iwobi are not making us a dollar in all likelihood. Can’t offload Maupay. Who do we target that is in our price range if we sell Onana on the cheap?

Our recruitment team should have a list of forwards at various price levels.

Its wages as much as fees for us so selling players even for lower fees makes a big difference.

I blame the owner and chairman for failing to support the manager

Our striker depth is fine. Is DCL goes down again we have Maupay, Cannon, and Keane to fall back on. So much moaning about our striker situation but it looks good to me!
